The plate lunches are flavorful and filling. Nice little diner that reminds me of the past. Seems to be a local joint where a lot of peeps come to which is a good sign. Would come back if I'm in the area.

I typically go to Dean's when craving a plate lunch meal. I prefer the better quality food such as brown rice and/or salad with the meal vs. white rice and mac salad. The hamburger steak and steak plates are my favorites. The hamburger steak meaty...More
It's solid. Kind of a hole in the wall, my kind of place. Didn't blow us away but it was good. Fairly priced by Hawaiian standards.
Saw this place on Guy Fierri's DDD show so we made a point to stop here (they moved from original place to here). Everything we had was very good! Teriyaki Beef was outstanding! Corn bread was also excellent. The Ahi Cakes were also very good....More
The surf and turf is so delicious here. It consists of ahi patties and teri beef and they also serve brown rice if requested. Kind of pricey but worth it to me.
If you're looking for a friendly diner with a panoply of beef, seafood, and vegetarian selections, you'd be wise to search out Dean's Drive-In. The fact that Dean's was featured a few years back on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives will be recommendation enough for most...More
Never had a bad experience at Dean's. Everything is good. I personally like the ahi belly. Lightly crisp & juicy. Teriyaki also good. The salads are worth every penny & huge! Ahi cakes cooked just right, never over cooked. I go there all the time.
Dean's took over from Zippys 2nd location on Wm Henry Rd. very good local food; however their chili is da best.. even better than Zippy's and that's saying a lot. drive-thru is nice.
