Wish I'd known about this store earlier. They have lots of goods that are locally produced, including frozen beef from the Molokai cattlemen's assn. The snack bar is excellent! It's separate from the market, a walk-up with outside seating. I had a mahi burger, which was moist and perfectly cooked, and my husband got the loco moco, kind of a... More

Great little place to get your munch on and an interesting variety of island fare and usual munchies. The Hurricane fries are a must what a great idea and taste. Will be adapting this recipe into a special treat at home.

We went to Goods and Grindz after we saw it on a car ride coming from the east side. That day it was closed, however a few days later we came back to try their famous hurricane fries. We were not disappointed - the combination of the nori and chipotle sauce was surprisingly good and at a really good price... More

Grabbed lunch here one day and had chicken teriyaki and a burger. Both made for a good lunch. The chicken was moist and flavorful

The only place on the east end (mile 16) and so glad it's here. Huge portions means either 2 can share or save half for later. Very aloha.

I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here. Great burgers and island style sandwiches. The grocery store is really handy.

This little place looked like a gas station but had great reviews so we tried it out. It was so good that we ate here several times. Everything that my various family members order was excellent and we were only disappointed that it wasn't open in the evening! Great place!

We have been eating at "the counter" for over a decade. Breakfasts are cheap and yummy but the star here is Plate Lunch; that uniquely Hawaiian fusion of local and immigrant portable lunch items that workers took into the cane and pineapple fields. Always served with huge scoops of rice and Hawaiian macaroni salad. Whether you get chicken katsu or... More

Good takeout food, including siamin noodles and mahi burgers. Super nice window staff. Grocery has all the basics, including great ahi poke. Prices competitive to Kaunakakai.
