Great meal for a great price. Loads of options most of our party ate sautéed fish but burgers were good as well. Quick place to grab a great meal.

We went 3 times and weren’t even staying close by! The tacos and mahi burgers are amazing! Best onion rings I’ve ever had. The line is with the wait and there always seems to be seating by the time you order and pay. Just go....You won’t regret it.More
We stopped at the quaint town of Paia and saw the line for the fish market, so decided to eat there. They have a great system for ordering food that's super efficient. After you order and pay, you get a table tent to place at...your table and they being the food to you when it's ready. We had a Ono Burger and 2 fish tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced.More
I still visit this eater in Waikiki every time I go. This year I got to try the same one in Paia, Maui. The eating area is smaller and cozier with a few tables and some long tables but that's the charm of it. I...go early because there's lines out the door. If a cruise ship has been docked in the area that's what creates the backup everyone heads here cuz they know the food is great. Since I don't need a lot of carbs I discovered I can have a breaded shrimp appetizer which had seven shrimp in it surprise and a garden salad which was amazing with plenty of veggies beautiful presentation. Five stars here also. Bathroom is kind of out back and nothing to brag about but I'm happy they have one it's hard to find one in the small town for public after you are eating in the restaurant.More
We really like the fish market. In addition to good food, and plenty of it, we enjoy the parade of people watching there. We have met and shared our bench with folks from all over the world. We always stop there and are never disappointed
Paia Fish Market is our most favorite place to dine when we are there in Maui. The sautéed snapper is our favorite! Don’t ever take that off the menu. We eat at your place 3-4 times every year when we spend 2 weeks in Maui....Everything at Paia is top notch, food, staff and locations. Our only complaint, and this is really a small thing, is that we wish you had sticky rice rather than Cajun Rice. Your coleslaw is the best! See you guys next year!!!More
As always there was a huge problem getting parking in this town, and a long line to get our fish! We come here every time we are in Maui. Usually not disappointed. The fishing fresh and delicious. The highlight for me was the calamari. Unfortunately,...this time, took off a star because the two sandwiches we got were so overrun with the coleslaw (probably 2/3 a cup on each) laden with so much mayonnaise that it really detracted from the fish. So I took off one star. Next time I will ask for the slaw on the side so I can control how much goes on!More
Such good food! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Crowded- but worth the wait. I recommend the fish tacos and the sauté snapper.
We found the best fish tacos on Maui. The food is outstanding, the staff is very pleasant & the prices are affordable. We had the Opakapaka Snapper fish tacos. Plus, their sauces are outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant. Steve Concialdi
There was a line out the door, but it moved fast. Superbly fresh seafood. I had the garden salad with shrimp n mahi mahi. Fish was so moist! Tasted like it was just caught!!!
Best fresh fish on the island! Our family ate there 3x while on vacation. Mahi Mahi, snapper, Calimari were all excellent and fresh!
We had dinner at Paia Fish Market in Paia after doing the Road to Hana. There is a free parking lot nearby, making it pretty convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. I wanted to try one of the fresh catch plates and asked for...a recommendation on what to order since I’m not that picky and figured I’d order whatever she suggested. Based on her recommendation, I got the snapper cajun-style with rice and home potatoes. First off, the portions are huge so that’s a plus if you have a big appetite. The plate also comes with coleslaw in addition to the selected sides. Overall, I thought the food was ok. My fish was on the dry side, which was disappointing since she had raved about how juicy the snapper is compared to some of the other fishes I was considering. So I think it was just overcooked (bummer). I also personally didn’t love the fennel seeds in the cajun spice mix, but that’s just a personal presence and I didn’t know it would have fennel in it. So for me, despite the hefty portion, it was a bit of a miss. I hate wasting food so I ate what I could and called it a day. My sister tried the seafood pasta. Overall she enjoyed it, but we noticed some of the shrimp wasn’t really deveined properly. Small detail, but kind of an important one. I’m sure with the volume of seafood they go through it’s easy to rush through cleaning the shrimp, but a bit more diligence in cleaning them would have been nice. I really don’t want to leave a “bad” review, especially given the fallout after the Lahaina fires and businesses suffering, but I wanted to at least share some of these issues because perhaps the kitchen can take the feedback and, I dunno, do better? Given our one and only experience here, I’m not sure I’d rush to try it again. For both of us it served its purpose as a meal, but it wasn’t as delicious or memorable as I had hoped it would be.More
My husband and I ate lunch at Paia Fish Market in Paia on our recent trip to Maui. Very delicious food. Fast and good service.
We visited the Paia Fish Market in Paia for lunch. We had heard about it for years, but didn't visit until this year. Suffice it to say, they have the most amazing fish tacos! Our meal was delicious. Our fish tacos were accompanied by a...mouthwatering Cajun rice and uniquely appetizing coleslaw. It was the perfect place for a quick lunch. The informal atmosphere and service enabled us to finish our lunch in less than 45 minutes which was important for our scheduled plans. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The quality of the food is on par with any fine dining establishment. In fact, we wondered whether Paia Fish Market would want to have a fine dining option. Finally, we were delighted that Paia Fish Market sells Cajun spice bottles and their "Magic Sauce" to take home. If you want an outstanding fish taco and a casual environment, you won't be disappointed!More
Didn't enjoy our meal. Overcooked Crisp/Hard fries. Same with Onion rings. The fish tacos were good but final bite was SALTY! Shrimp quesadilla, SHRIMP TOO SALTY! Overall bad.
