This place is great! The chicken was amazing, we even went back the next day to get more but she was out :( the owner is super nice, it's a laid back little spot. you can kind of see it from the road, but it's just a block of two up from downtown lahina. We'll be visiting next time for... More

Best food in maui. And great value. The spam masubi was surprisingly delicious. Came back the next day.

Small place but really good food. Stopped in for a plate lunch and had the kalua pork and cabbage and LOVED it. Open for breakfast and lunch only

I love eating here. We actually live down the street from local food and for some time, we were eating here 2 - 4 times a week. We always get the kalua pork plate. Just spectacular. I didn't even like kalua pork before I started eating it here. We heard that she will be leaving her current location due to... More

The name of this walk-up eatery simply says what it offers: "Local Food." Situated just inside the corner strip center at 222 Papalaua St, this one-person/one-cook gastronomic epicenter is the go-to eatery for locals and tourists in search of authentic, non-pretentious, absolutely delicious local Hawaiian food. The menu board is limited and everything is made to order, served in take-out... More

Local food was great, so much so that we went back a second time. The food was fresh, delicious, and was a good sized portion. Definitely a solid lunch option!

Stopped by for a quick authentic lunch, and got half of the bargain. With only one friendly woman running everything, it took quite a while to get our 6 orders together. Park with cabbage and Kalua pig were great, but the Shoyu Chicken stole the show! So tender and delicious - don't miss it! She was out of the lau... More

We ordered food 4 times during our week stay in Lahaina. The quality of the food is so much better than places like L&L. The Kailua pork is tender and delicious - better than I make it! The local woman who owns it is very nice. Eat here.

Best way to describe this place is a stationary food cart. You get your food and can eat it at one of the picnic tables in the parking lot or take it with you. The food was excellent and authentic - for as far as I could tell not being an expert on Hawaiian food. We had the Kalua Pork... More

We heard rave reviews about this hidden gem and wanted a lunch plate, so we checked it out. We had to eat outside on a bench - which is fine with us. I don't think you have an option to eat elsewhere, but we didn't get a straight answer from the woman helping us. We asked for Kalua Pork plate... More
