Easily the best stop for poke on Kauai and a fun market to visit as well! The deli staff are not only pleasant, but they are happy to educate their clientele about their wide variety of poke options- samples are included. I was highly impressed with the service I received, the quality of the poke, the variety of options, and... More

My favorite poke on Kauai! Take a number at the counter and plan your meal while you wait for your turn. You can order as much or as little as you like, mix and match from the poke bar, and pick up sides like rice and wakame. The ahi was melt-in-your mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. We stopped here on... More

We stopped late, near closing, so the selection was limited. It's a simple grocery with an amazing guy concocting amazing combinations of seafood and savory flavors. The cucumber salad was the best I've ever had. The octopus was incredible, and I typically avoid that.

This is such an amazing market! The poke is incredible. We stopped here for breakfast and lunch on separate days. I liked it so much that I ended up getting one of the polo shirts to take home. There are plenty of places within a few minutes drive after to enjoy the poke with a great view. I want to... More

Amazing poke selection (and sooo delicious) at the back of the store. Perfect quick stop to get a bunch of picnic yumms and then hit the road to find a beach to enjoy it at!

I ran into a friend who was also visiting Kauai and she told me about the poke at Ishihara Market. I made a point of it to go on Sunday and I am so glad I did. To be clear, it is a little market, not a restaurant but offers several types of food to choose from. I didn't pay... More

Saved us while staying at the Waimea Plantation Cottages. There are almost no restaurants in this area. The marinated meats and poke were really wonderful. They have decent array of groceries as well. Highly recommend!

A wonderful place to pick up all you need for a picnic in the canyon or on the beach. Fantastic, fresh poke. They have more varieties of poke than anywhere I have been. And it is all fresh and delicious. A truly local store it has been a fixture in Waimea since 1936. Open from 6 AM to 7 or... More

We stopped by this little market to her lunch. The two types of seafood poke we selected were perfectly spiced. The service, by number, was fast and friendly. While there were almost no tables to eat onsite, a helpful local made the wonderful suggestion to walk one block and picnic by the sea. That is a recommendation I endorse. I... More
