This was our first stop after arriving for weekend vacation. Tip Top did not disappoint. The local food hit the spot! My son had the traditional "spam, eggs and rice" and loved it! My daughter had the pancakes, eggs and bacon and loved it too! My husband and I had the fried rice, eggs and bacon and loved it! We... More

If you appreciate 1960s linoleum, bathrooms without shampoo, soft twin beds, not a picture on the walls and filthy corners the Tip Top in Lihue for you. Oh did I mention $50 deposit for the room key and TV remote. What a rip off, the owners of this place should be ashamed! Stay far, far away. Never again for this... More

Tip Top has no view and no atmosphere. But, they have excellent pancakes! It is a place where the locals go. What can I say? I have heard the oxtail soup is great, but I have never tried it. There is usually a line on Sunday mornings, but it moves rapidly and the pancakes are worth the wait. Don't forget,... More

Had lunch at Tip Top today Saturday. Read reviews and been wanting to find a real local restaurant. Well Tip Top is it. Tried the Loco Moco with two eggs over medium, very tasty, my first Loco Moco, not what I'd call healthy but with all that brown gravy it sure was delicious. The burger patty was cooked just right.... More

This was our first visit to the Tip Top but it came highly recommended. We will always make it a point to eat breakfast at Tip Top when on Kauai. The moco loco was amazing and the pancakes were delicious. The setting is informal, filled with locals, and the service was very good.

Very good place to have breakfast. Hash browns were a bit overcooked so i would prefer toasts instead. They were better. The omelettes meet expectations and of a decent size.

The food was tasty, well seasoned and great portion sizes. The price was reasonable also. We had the wing dings (chicken wings), cheeseburgers and Macadamia Nut Pancakes (really good).

This place is nothing fancy but you can get breakfast for 2 for under $20! My husband had eggs and spam and I had a ham and cheese omlette. We both would have preferred our eggs (his ordered medium) to be a little more done... (still white that was clear). I ate around the center of my omlette but we... More
