As first timers to the island , a Luau was strongly suggested. We choose Gaylord's as it was centrally located and easy to find. I would suggest reservations as earlier , as it gets you a closer table to the entertainment . Excellent food/drinks (drinks included in meal)and great service . It's a well run luau machine , which is... More

This is the most bizarre review I've ever written (and I've written a lot) Half way through dinner I was ready to give this place at least a "4" and potentially a "5". This place is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We were given a prime table overlooking the large open green space. I had the prime rib special and... More

Gaylord's is situated in a beautiful setting (a former plantation estate), giving a sense of what the island might have looked like in previous years. It is serene, especially at night with the stars shining and the moon in its full glory. The meal did not match its setting, however. We ordered the fresh fish of the day (grey snapper)... More

This was our second visit to Gaylord's for dinner and it did not disappoint. Sat in their bar for a drink, nice spot, with a fire on ! We had Cioppino, which was an excellent portion of seafood in a wonderful broth. Wine selection is good, as is pricing. Service is excellent.

Excellent selection of food in peaceful courtyard. Amble around grounds and visit various shops and buildings. Visit rum tasting and ride the train if you choose.

You must try the Maitai's here. They are over the top! Made with fresh pressed cane sugar. Staff was very helpful, attentive, and just fun to chat with!

We went here a couple times, both for lunch and dinner. They have a shortrib dip sandwich that was something worth writing home about. Their MaiTai is among the better ones Ive had. Every place has their take on a Mai Tai, and theirs uses the local island rum, called Koloa. They also have a neat little art gallery/shop with... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Gaylord's. The fish entrees were excellent, the drinks were good and the Banana Cream Pie lived up to advance word we were given. We had a table in the courtyard, away from noisy table, The service was excellent. A good night in Kauai, a place that we would definitely recommend.

We had lunch here. The tables are set around the court yard with a view to a well maintained open field. It was beautify. The food was excellent. I had the burger and it was among the best burger I've ever had.
