Uncle shave ice was just ok...It was hard to not to compare it to ulilanis maui which is amazing with the natural syrups. Would skip this and go to Lapperts instead.

It's been a few years since I've been to a Hawaiian island & I'd been craving the amazing shaved ice!! It was alright. Good flavor choices & you can get the cream on top. Expensive compared to others & not as good as some I've had on Maui. Service was good - they were friendly and efficient.

Certainly way better than snow cones on the mainland, but as Shave ice goes just doesn't match places like Loco Coco. The only advantage to this place is it's open until 9. The syrups don't seem homemade and there is nothing special about their shave ice - no fruit on top, no special secret middle ingredient, etc. The flavors are... More

Four shave snows cost $25... We went here specifically to try the shave snow. We have tried shave ice on every island and most of the shave ice stands (kids have made it a goal to try them all). We did not try Uncle's shave ice. Unanimously, we all decided we preferred shave ice to shave snow.

Do not pass these up, stop and get one of these wonderful desserts as many times as you can while in Kauai. You are going to walk the calories off anyway when you go hiking--enjoy your vacation. Try one of the more popular combinations such as the Kauai Kine: fresh pineapple , macadamia not ice cream , shave ice with... More

The girls that served us did not seem happy to be there and it was the most expensive shave ice we have found on the Island.

First there are so many flavors and you can choose more than one, even the smaller portion size seems big.

The Honey Toast with macadamia ice cream was the most delicious thing I think I have ever eaten. I was caught off guard on how amazing it was. I ordered a small portion which was really pretty big. I thought for sure I would not be able to eat the entire thing.....I WAS WRONG! I could not practice self control... More

We were staying in the Koloa area and went to the Uncles at the Shops at Kukui’ula after seeing the reviews on TA Wow, it was fantastic. The thing that surprised us most was the huge selection of flavors to choose from. The two women running the place were very friendly.
