We came for breakfast. The food was fine, but the portions were very small. One very thin slice of ham, and four tiny pieces of bread that added up to one slice. The small glass of orange juice was good. But there is no excuse for a restaurant to charge for a second cup of coffee when you've ordered a... More

We enjoyed our Market Fish dinner but expected a bit more service/ambience at these prices. Can't blame the single server -- she was by herself and all but two tables were occupied. We arrived early enough to receive prompt and efficient service and the food is well prepared. This restaurant could be a top destination with a bit more staffing... More

My husband and I came here on our first morning in Kaua'i for a celebratory breakfast. We both ordered omelettes and they were beautifully and carefully prepared. I also ordered some genmaicha (tea) and it was really good quality tea. You'll pay for the quality of food & service and the classiness of the place, but it's worth it.

We went here for dinner over the weekend and had a fabulous meal. Service was friendly but disorganized. High quality food that was gourmet!

I don't think I've ever seen such a varied breakfast menu. Four of us all had different things and all of it was excellent. Service was slow but it's a cute place and we didn't mind waiting. Their coffee was great also.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior is very cute. If you're looking for a traditional breakfast, this isn't the place for you. Their eggs are organic and their menu items are for the health-conscious diner. This isn't what we would typically eat, but having said that, the food was good.....but over priced in our opinion. I... More

Can't go wrong with anything on this menu (especially the flaky croissants and savory crepes), great place to meet up with friends for a fantastic meal.

I went to this restaurant several times while on a harmonica retreat held at Coral Reef Resort across the road. If you want a huge big dripping steak and fries delivered in a hurry in a fast food place, don't come here. But if you are in an Island mood and feel like a charming and atmospheric evening with superb... More

We had breakfast on Sunday and dinner on Friday. Both meals were excellent. Highly recommend their home made eggs benedict for breakfast (served on weekends). The scrambled eggs with lump crabmeat and smoked salmon was a great choice too. We both had the fish catch of the day for dinner and it was wonderful too. They grow much of their... More

My wife is a coffee snob, and she loved the dark roast drip. I had a latte and it was perfect. The service could have been a little faster, but this isn't really a complaint..the wait wasn't that bad considering how busy they were. We went there twice and enjoyed it both times.

Description
As of June 2016 Art Cafe Hemingway follows a new concept: 2restaurants in 1 house. Monday - Friday HEMINGWAY BY MIAH Chef Miah and his young team serve the same brunch items as Jana and Markus. For dinner they present European inspired dishes. Friday - Sunday ART CAFÉ HEMINGWAY operated by Markus and Chef Jana. The restaurant features refined, playful dishes that highlight exceptional local ingredients and seasonality from their own Farm. Enjoy brunch in a relaxed atmosphere with best Italian coffee drinks and amazing brunch items. Or dinner in a romantic environment in one of the oldest houses of the island, with a small but precious selection of old-world wines and house designed cocktails.
