good food, nice atmosphere. Service was good and spent a lot of time and money in the gift shop. Unique items. We were there for breakfast and dinner, both were good.

Options are kind of sparse in volcano village but this was a good find. Menu is American but the chef appears to add daily German specials as well as his own innovations. I had some very good escargots, followed by the broiled ono and chocolate...More

We had reservations on a rainy Saturday night and the place was packed. Service and food was OK. Parking lot jammed, almost impossible to navigate.

Good american cuisine, nothing more! We had the seared Ahi and the Prime Rib. We europeans are not used to drown the fish in sauce, taste was Ok. Prime Rib was excellent! American lodge flair and good service!

The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I normally shun hotel food. I'm very glad I didn't. I had the antelope medallions and a pureed cream of rice soup with carrots and local peppers (just a taste of spicy). The antelope was cooked...More

The lodge is beautiful. The grounds, birds, and frog sounds are lovely. Room was nice, cozy but only a double bed and very small shower for the high room rate. Very convenient location to the part.

Aloha. if you stayed in the Hale Maluna rooms (1-4) they are smaller than the Hale Aloha rooms because they are part of the historic YMCA buildings from 1937. The beds are more firm than soft, and it is difficult to... More

My husband jokingly said no puka pants and shirt. Actually we just advise casual elegance (jeans Clean shirt ) a lot of our diners come off the trail so fancy is not required. But honestly we even see fur wraps sometimes

Description
Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
