My friend and I had a great time at this Keei's. Good food and pleasant staff. I had the catch of the day in Thai curry - great. We also had the coconut flan with lilikoi sauce. So delicious we ate it before I thought to take a photo.

Went here with friends who go to Kona often! Sure glad we did. Excellent food! Best Mai Tais I had on the entire trip, and they were big, not a small low ball glass like most. I had the roasted chicken with white wine peppercorn gravy on mashed potatoes with steamed vegetables. I've never had chicken this juicy & tender... More

We ate here twice during our stay. Both times our meals were delicious. Our service was impeccable and the ambiance was pleasant and warm. Our daughter had two pork chops with mashed potatoes and vegetables for $21. A fabulous deal! We had the fish selections including a special, a Thai curry and the buerre blanc presentations. All dishes were perfectly... More

Ke'ei Cafe has become our "hands down" favorite for dinner near Kona. A bit south of town just past quaint Kainaliu town on the mauka side - on the 2nd level with a decent sunset view. My wife & I are vegan, but we have meat eating / omnivore visitors in town from the mainland very often. We regularly choose... More

This was our last night on the Big Island. Friends left earlier in the day; our flight out was late that evening. We visited the remarkable Painted Church and the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. We hoped to find somewhere to eat outside Kona and found the Keei - and a table on the lanai to watch the sun... More

Our whole family of 6 enjoyed our dinner at Keei. Granddaughter and I had pasta, hers with tofu mine with chicken. It was delightful. Most impressive was the Brazilian Seafood Chowder we had as a starter. Spouse enjoyed a fish dinner and salad. Prices are Hawaii reasonable, food is wonderful

Nine of us on our annual sojourn in Hawaii revisited Keei Cafe for Valentine's Day and found the food and service as wonderful as ever. Many of us happily started with the large mai tais, before moving on to the night's fish specials, in this case ahi tuna or monchong with a choice of Thai, lemon pepper or mango sauce... More

Friends of ours recommended this restaurant, and we were not disappointed! Hubby had the pork chops, which he raved about. I had the black bean quesadillas and they were delicious. The setting is nice, yes you get some road noise, but if you time it right you can also observe a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend this great spot, south of... More

Very good food. Their half chicken was to die for- crispy skin on the outside but super moist on the inside. It was our favorite meal in Hawaii.

In 1995 with a vision to open a small family "Coffee Cafe" Owner Bob Miyashiro and his wife Gina open the original Keei Cafe in a old former Fish Market in Honaunau, Hawaii on the Big Island. Finally after borrowing enough from their father, Brothers Bob and Dennis along with Sister Joyce the new Keei Cafe was Born in Hokukano. Again with the Brazilian touch for food friendly colors and using local woods, Gina helped create the decor that surrounds the "New" Keei Cafe at Hokukano. Opened in early 2005, the new Cafe features local artist painting and carvings on the walls. Koa table help make the Cafe have a warm and welcome feel perfect for families or guests looking for a resort type meal with a upcounty price. Family owned and operated with the additon of Gina's sister and Brother in Law, Chef Zeze and Batista, in the kitchen to use the freshes local ingredients to prepare creavtive and and delicious menu items with nightly specials. Please come to experience the flavors!
