Stopped by quite by accident and were very pleasantly surprised. We purchased cookies, cinnamon rolls, and a bearclaw. Everything was fresh and delicious. Also purchased some local jams/jellies. They have shelves full of different flavors. Not overly expensive. The ice cream cones are massive. I am only sorry about one thing - this I didn't purchase additional jams.

They have over 150 different types of local jams! We tasted a bunch and finally narrowed it down to 4 different flavors to take home. We also picked up some delicious cookies - I highly recommend the Kona Shortbread ones.

Went to Mr. Ed's Bakery after our Skyline Eco Adventure zip line tour because they had given us a coupon. I was hoping to find jams to send home to my mother on the mainland as a thank you for watching our puppy. Well, I definitely did! They had an enormous variety made from local fruits. They make is super... More

We stopped here after visiting Akaka Falls. The guava bearclaw was delicious but the other pastry we purchased while having a great dough base, had a spreadable butter with sugar icing topping that was way too heavy and had an odd consistency. I would stick with the other pastries, like the bear claws or the turnovers. All of the pastries... More

Mr. Ed's Bakery had coupons at the Zip Line Eco Adventures. After we got back from sailing through the skies we walked up the road to Mr. Ed's bakery to try some local treats. DELICIOUS!!!

After leaving Akaka Falls, it started raining. We decided that a snack was a good option. Mr. Ed's Bakery had many items to choose from. I tried the Hawaiian sweet bread long john (good but not very fresh) while the rest of my family tried the shaved ice (the banana flavor was the best!), ice cream and ginger cookies (good... More

We stopped for a snack after seeing the falls and got turnovers, cookies and juice to eat at their tables outside. It hit the spot! We also took a giant cinnamon roll and Hawaiian bread to go for meals later in the week - and they were even better than the snacks we ate the day of! Delicious!

I stopped in Mr. Ed's after a visit to Akaka Falls. Mr. Ed was an absolute delight. He is so friendly and is happy to offer conversation and tastes of any of the jellies. I would not consider myself a jelly connoisseur or enthusiast, but Mr. Ed's jellies are really outstanding. I purchased a few different passion fruit jellies and... More

Having lots of jams and jellies is how Mr. Ed has distinguished his bakery from the 100's of other small bakeries. Might as well stop and marvel. The guy has to be given credit for his faith that you'll stop at this remote venture on the way to or from Akaka Falls. With a look see.
