We had reservations, we saw the table we were going to be seated at yet it took forever for some to acknowledge our presence and set us at the table. They desperately need a Host/Hostess! The server was very nice once we got seated. The...food was pretty good. Our friend had the shrimp special and that was excellent . The calzones were very good, the spaghetti and meatballs were so-so. There was suppose to be music, but no one showed up.More

I didn't expect good Italian food in a place like this, but here it is! Nothing too fancy, but very solid, well-prepared basics.

We three stopped in after a morning shopping at local farmers markets. One chose the house salad, which was of a good size and excellent fresh ingredients. The other two chose fish sandwiches, and the fresh salmon was excellent (ask for it if you don’t...see it on the menu). Delicious! My husband and I stopped in for lunch and had a meatball and a salami calzone. Both were quite good. The service was prompt and the restaurent was quite full with a lunch crowd. Worth a stop.

Came for lunch today and ordered 2 different large pizzas for 4 people. Both took a while as they are made from scratch. When they arrived, they looked wonderful and tasted delicious. Service was very good. The menu has many other Italian style dishes that...sound very good. The restaurant itself is very attractive with lots of tile and wood work, including a large carved (and curved) bar and tables that look all looks fairly new. It appears to have moved east on the street several hundred feet according to my gps so be prepared. We plan on coming back for a dinner.More

My brother who visited the island in March recommended this Italian establishment. It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Kona. What a hidden gem and completely unexpected. Great food. Had the penne sausage dish. Probably the best I've ever had. Would go back...in a heartbeat!More

We stop here for lunch while driving around the island. We had a wonderful, incredibly delicious “Big Island” pizza. The bar in the restaurant is a magnificent piece of art. The stone oven pizza was one of the best we have ever had.We highly recommended...Cafe IL MondoMore
