We walked in here since it was open and decide to get ice cream that was advertized. The flavors we wanted and were advertized weren't available. We settled for second choice but the two servings were not the same size. During the entire conversation there...was a loud radio blaring and it was hard to hear. We got the ice cream and sat down at one of the 3 table in the place. We were told that this was for people eating there. Guess Ice Cream isn't food. We went outside and ate at a table and chairs that were outside. Not real impressed by the experience to say the least. Also they only take cashMore

Big Island vegan cafes are everywhere. This place will not disappoint you and worth the drive if you just want brunch. That’s what we did. It was our destination. The aroma and cozy cafe attitude, the attention from from the staff and especially the fresh...delicious brunch. We are impressed.More

Main things to say about Sea Dandelion Café are 1) Poi Bowls (yummy!); 2) Ice Cream (locally made and delicious); 3) Great music; 4) Magical owners, sweet service, the brightest of smiles, vibrant, high energy and top quality, healthy food. It's just one of those...places "ya gotta visit" when in Honokaa!! And when you go, do be aware that it's cash-only (there's an ATM a few steps down the street). As with most places, the owners' energy creates the ambience - which is why Sea Dandelion is a magical place to eat and talk and simply "be." Check it out!!More

On our 13 hour self guided tour of the island we came across this quaint cafe. As vegans we were a bit surprised, given the location in the midst of cowboy country. All the ingredients are locally sourced and healthy! It was a sheer blessing!...The veggie burgers are the best you’ll ever taste. You do not have to be vegan or vegetarian to enjoy this food. You just have to enjoy eating good food! For vegans it’s a blessing to know that everything on the menu is safe to eat. For cowboys, it’s time to man up and try a veggie burger.... you’ll think you’re eating real meat. You’ll be stronger and look younger. (Don’t worry, your identity will remain secret 🧐) Bottom line.... it would be foolish to drive through town without eating here.More

Food made with aloha. Great spot that should please anyone who likes things that taste good...even those who aren't vegetarian!

We did a ten day trip around the big island and the Sea Dandelion was the best place of the whole trip. We had a quinoa/sweet potato/taro bowl and a fresh veggie sandwich with kimchee and homemade focaccia, amazing! Delicious healthy drinks too. Perfect laid...back vibe :) Mahalo!More

This is what “made with love” means. Every component of the seemingly no-nonsense menu is painstakingly prepared. From the fermented accompaniments to the home brewed Kombucha, you’ll really appreciate the passion that this husband and wife team puts into everything they prepare. Your body will...appreciate you too.More
