This is a very busy and popular place, but every time I've eaten here, there's no host at the front desk to take your name or tell you how long a table will be. Also, what's with the complimentary popcorn appitizer? I can see this served at the bar, but at the table?

We had a very pleasant dinner there. My wife and I are not big eaters so we ordered a Caesar salad and an order of scallops and split them. The amount of food was perfect. We were given an extra plate so that we could split the food. The location is right on a quiet end of the bay. It... More

There are so many wonderful dishes to choose from on the menu-- it was difficult to make a choice. We can highly recommend the Hawaiian Ahi Poke and the Mushroom and Chicken Pot Pie-- yummy!!!

The new location is lovely and it is a nice restaurant, but the interior has lost the character it possessed when it was near Walmart. The stunning lunches served in the former location seem also to have been left behind. We had a very nice lunch and the service was all right, but it was not the special experience it... More

This place is open for lunch and dinner only and sits right on the bay with the seating facing it in some areas. The view is a beautiful sight while you dine. The service was excellent and the food was magnificent. The steak was cooked to perfection, the loaded potato was the best I've ever had and the ribs were... More

Take advantage of the view at this restaurant. You have an incredible view of Hilo bay and get to be outside near nature when you eat. Make a reservation because it fills up fast. The food is good, and the wine list is good. It used to be a Japanese place, but when they closed down, this popular restaurant moved... More

After a drive over Saddle road from Kona, with a check out of observity visitor center at 9200 ft on Mona Kea, we steamed into Hilo. The small park on the harbor was so inviting then a wonderful lunch. The "slider" special has a beef patty and a Ahi tuna pair, with a generous green salad. Delicious, filling and delicious.... We ate dinner here twice in three days and may go back. The food is terrific. Ahi sashimi was great (although we each only got two pieces of ahi). Chicken pot pie - the mushroom curry sauce makes it great. Awesome "luau" roll, which was quite large. Crab cake salad featured three small crab cakes, which were excellent, surrounding a... More

Had dinner here on a Monday night, which is when many other restaurants are closed in Hilo. Was very busy, but we had reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival with a seat looking over the bay. Not the fastest in getting our drink order, but then was fine after that. The Caesar salad was very good and had crisp... More

This restaurant has outdoor balcony seating although partly in the shade. The view is fabulous of the bay and downtown Hilo. We all had great food for lunch and the restaurant was quiet. The service was excellent as well.
