Amazing that a regular supermarket (not a Whole Foods) has such creative sandwiches. And the sushi and sashimi was being prepared by two “cooks.” The fish was fresh. The prices were good for Hilo and the sandwiches yummy. Good bargain.

Excellent supermarket just a few minutes from Hilo airport..got all our foods prior to driving up to the Volcanoes National Park which has only a very small grocery store in the village

Provides all needs in one area. Prices are higher than mainland, simple loaf of bread $3.00-$6.00. Does have a bakery and deli with pre-made sandwiches and salads at reasonable costs. The stores on the island charge for bags.

Grabbed these custom made sandwiches before heading to the observatory for the night! We packed them up and ate them 6 hours later and they were great!

I guess it's more like the meat department, but the selection and freshness was amazing, not to mention the cost. If you're having a party, I'd suggest Safeway Poke.
