I had a sore throat and needed some lozenges. I wanted to use ones with natural ingredients. I wandered around the store, found an employee. She led me to the shelf with the type of product I was seeking. She took the time to discuss...the options. I was very happy with my choice, Oblas Lozenges.More

This tiny store is packed with hundreds of interesting food and health-related items. The variety is incredible. A quality business.

This is a small store, so not a huge selection. They have good stuff though and very knowledgeable staff. Their prices are competitive as well. Lovely produce - consistently.

We were just walking around Hilo taking in the history of the area, checking out the farmers' market, and mingling with the locals when we got hungry. It just so happened that we were walking by this place at the same time. It was a...good find. This is an outstanding health food store with food for people of every taste and dietary need. They had everything from Kombucha to Tofu, and everything in between. My wife had a Quinoa salad, and I tried a local Kombucha brew. We thought that the prices were very fair considering the location, and that we were on the islands. Even though we were just steps from the farmers' market, we loved finding all this variety, including the organically-grown produce. Hilo may well have been one of our favorite Hawaiian cities, too, because of its "down-to-Earth" feel. It wasn't nearly as "hoity toity" as some other places we'd visited in Hawaii, and finding the natural food store was just the icing on the cake. There's nothing like the availability of good food to ice the cake of any vacation. If you are in Hilo, we highly recommend visiting this store. If you come in on a cruise ship, take the free shuttle to the farmer's market, walk around the city a bit, and then stop in here for a snack before heading back. You'll have to take the bus back, but the bus stop you need is right across the street from Abundant Life, and it only costs $2.00, ($1.00 for Seniors 60 years old and older). I liked taking the city bus back to the cruise ship because it gave us time to enjoy our food, and it took the long, scenic route that gives a great "tour" of the city. After that bus ride, you'll feel like you've really seen Hilo, and really gotten a feel for what it is like. It's a lot cheaper than any of the tours offered by the cruise ship, too.More

We stopped in Abundant Life while shopping around downtown. They have a lot of produce, health foods, environmentally-friendly products, etc. We bought a few staples, as well as a couple of items to bring home. Although some of the prices might be high for some,...we actually found a few things that were cheaper than the local grocery chain.More

Very nice organic/natural store. A little bit of everything; fresh and packaged foods, supplements, fresh breads, nice produce, homeopathic and natural remedies, etc. A breath of fresh alond the shopping strip in Hilo. Made my wife and I feel right at home and little bit...Hawaii.More

Nice grocery store, bakery. Sandwiches were very filling, coffee was excellent...Bit pricey, but it could be just because it's in Hawaii.

Great selection of natural foods but, as with any place in Hawai'i, expensive. Accommodating to customers.

We found the best jams, sauces, & honey here. Lots of great scented, fun, natural soaps to take home. Plus got the few items we urgently found we needed. For unexpected health issues. They pointed us to the right solutions. We felt better that day....So thankful.More
