Three tables with 2 chairs each is the sum of the customer area. No walk-ins accepted most of the time. But, the breakfast is really, really excellent. Paul, the cook and owner, takes his passion to the limit, that of serving breakfast or brunch. I don't usually take snapshots of what I have to dine on, but I had to... More

If you are looking for unique and good this is the place. I would say best food on island. So nice and accommodating Paul is. Absolutely loved it!

Smaller servings but amazing quality. Get three plates for 2 people of you're hungry. Smoked salmon Benedict, and it's by reservation only

If you're a foodie don't miss Paul's place for breakfast in Hilo. It's a tiny place so you have to make reservations. They are very accommodating and the food is out of this world.

Was surprised at the size of the place, it only has 4 tables. The breakfast was not only very good, the presentation was wonderful. It is all done by the owner, Paul tho he has one waiter. The water is flavored with blood & regular oranges that gives it a little twist. The pressed coffee is a little strong, but... More

We LOVED this place. We came here for lunch and loved it so much we made reservations for breakfast the next day. To the previous reviewer...you really should look at reviews prior to going. You would have know reservation are essential. We got the salmon Bennie and waffles. Fresh fruit comes on the side. Paul was extremely hospitable and a... More

This place is a little slice of heaven...about as perfect as it gets. The food, the décor, the people. We stayed at the Pakalana Inn so we ate breakfast there in the morning and then every other morning. Paul is a master chef and a ray of "Sunshine". Do not miss this place. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

Remember to reserve a table if you want to make sure to try Paul's place, there is only 3 tables for two. The food is so good, had the youghurt parfait and eggs Benedict and it all tasted so good and fresh made. The smoothies are great too, very healthy. The staff is so sweet and the atmosphere is really... More
