We visited a few days before on an exploratory trip through Hawi and saw the Open Mic on Saturday night. What a lot of fun hearing the locals play their music! It had a really good vibe and we had a lot of fun listening to everyone jam together. It was all ages and all types of music. The drinks... More

Come here first! Grab yourself some Kava and some lau lau. ( hope thats how you spell it ). The gal behind the counter seemed quite protective of her kava. Lol.. All good though because it works, at least for me. Wasn't super enthused for the kahlua pork though not bad.

This place is a cute shop nothing like your Starbucks in terms of decor but the coffee is incredible! The baked goods are homemade in flavor. But, what you really need to try here is the Kava. They make the drink in house and it is potent (FYI I think it taste like dirt smells). This is one of those... More

Very pleasant young ladies waited on us. The shave ice was huge & delicious. The girls showed how they made the kava. outdoor seating was nice also.

Nice server, good smells and creativity in fudges, ice cream and they even had small kava chocolate bars. Kava was a treat in the special bowls and we also got a great lilikoi spritzer type drink.

We stopped in for some shave ice on our visit to Hawi. The staff was very sweet and shaved some ice for us, filled it with ice cream, and we sat on the lovely porch and enjoyed. Hawi is like a little hippie hangout!

This place was recommended to us by a local (Richard from Hawi Gallery) and we were told to ask for Tammy. He was there and he made kava, our first experience with this hawaiian tradition, by the way. I didn't like the taste, to be honest, but it was definitely good to try. My partner was so excited that we... More

I have been on the Big Island for 5 days and hadn't yet gotten any shave ice, so when we noticed their sign on the way back from the Pololo Valley hike we stopped to get some. Sooooooo disappointed. It was more like a giant snowcone not shaved at all. The ice was very granular and fell out of the... More

Small place, with some seating inside and out. This was our first time eating here. I had the BF quiche, hubby had bacon turkey sandwich. It was delicious, and we would definitely eat here again. Staff was super friendly.

This place was recommended by our hotel concierge. I'm so glad she recommended it to us. We tried their homemade kombucha; it was the best I've ever had!! We didn't have the shaved ice but were told all the syrup is homemade with no artificial colors or flavors! Go here!
