This place is a throwback - and I mean that as a big, huge compliment! The service was soooo friendly and laid back and the food - AMAZING. Ok but know this - its local food. You can get kalua pork with cabbage, lomi lomi...More

This little hole in the wall exceeded our expectations. We stopped for lunch after reading reviews online and although it looked run down, it was exceptional. The family saw our deer in the headlights look s we reviewed the menu and she told us to...More

Local food items precooked and salty, the prices are reasonable if you understand the menu seems locals order ala carte to go.

Based on the recommendation of a local friend, we visited Super J's near mile marker 106. A small family run business that made you feel like home. The Lau Lau was superb! A complete classic Hawaiian menu is served. Their Mac salad could be classed...More

We just stopped in to buy two mini laulau plates and ate them immediately in our car in the parking lot. The laulau is delicious, simple but seasoned so perfectly. One of the cheapest and best lunches we had on the Big Island!

You'd be doing yourself a disservice to pass up Super J's for a meal. The fam will welcome you with open arms and make you feel right at home. They suggested the combo meal for us and we asked "what's that?" They lovingly said "trust...More

According to an internet search it looks like they open up at 10 a.m. The costs for food is about $5-$8 (very reasonable for a plate of food). This is not a fancy place whatsoever. Imagine eating at someone's house with... More
