Built by Buffalo Bill, named for his daughter, the old parts of this hotel have the architecture and feel of its days of splendor. View the original bar, ask about the reputed ghost.... The food here is average at best, but the service is good. Visit or stay for the Western History, eat the breakfast or the buffet.

Go into the bar on a Friday evening and listen to "real cowboys" talking about their week. People are very friendly, the drinks and food great. The dining room bar should not be missed as it was a gift from Queen Victoria (I believe her) and gorgeous! We had Sunday brunch in the dining hall and the food just never... More

Not new and shiny, but certainly a great piece of history. Stayed here while visiting the museum and it was fun. I imagine it would be a lot busier during the summer, but the food was hot and the beer was cold. Had a power outage which shut the bar (and neighborhood) down for a while. Very nice folks, and... Had a little light late lunch. Tuna sandwich and chicken wings. Both very good. Waitress told us about the Irma and the cherry wood bar. Nice historic location.

Had a quick lunch here on a weekend and had to wait a while considering there was not many patrons. The staff was friendly. The burger was very tough over cooked and the french dip was mostly bread very little meat. It should have only been half a sandwich considering the amount of meat sitting in it. Yes they pile... The Irma is a national historic site but the food is not historic-instead very much up to date. The atmosphere is old west modern and very suited to families. When in Cody dont miss a chance to visit the Irma.

The folks are always friendly and the buffet is very well done. We certainly enjoy the green chili and the warm, carved ham, but again, the bread pudding with whiskey sauce is the stuff dreams are made of!!

Thank Diane W
