Had the Brat and Bacon Double burger which was excellent. I didn't want to eat the entire thing (it was quite large), but found it was so good that I couldn't help myself. My wife had the chili dog, but wasn't too impressed by it. The fries were good and my young boys ate up their cheeseburger. We would love... More

Good food. Generous portions and affordable. I'm not a huge brat fan but some on my group were so we went and the food was good. It's nothing fancy but made from scratch food at a resonate price. Service was excellent.

It's never too busy. It has good food and is different from the burgers and fries type of place. It's worth a try when you visit the Dells.

We enjoyed the Brat House Grill and enjoyed quick, friendly and attentive service. Food was very good and loved the fact that this is a locally owned business.

Very reasonable in price and the air conditioning in the summertime is always cool. Big screen tv's are in bar area to watch your... More

We stopped here for a drink, and ended up having dinner because we liked the atmosphere so much! They had a huge TV with sports on and the service was great! Our server Jillian was very friendly, funny and attentive. She knew what to suggest from the menu, and was very nice when I was ordering. (I am a PICKY... More

We came here a couple years ago when it was a different owner and enjoyed the wings. So glad we returned today! Even though kids were disappointed they no longer have traditional wings , we ended up saying 'what wings?' Brittany, our server was full of energy and super helpful! I had the mushroom swiss brat and although it was... More

The reviews that are positive are spot on. It's a bar so expect bar food. Ordered side salad, Mexican soup of the day, Italian sausage and loaded waffle fries (not on the menu as I special ordered). Our server Brittany hustled and worked hard while keeping a smile. She was enthusiastic about her suggestions and was correct. FYI waffle fries... More

Originally constructed in 1850, the Delton Academy was a one room Baptist Boys Schoolhouse. In 1865, it became the Delton Methodist Church. In 1894, the church was expanded and the entryway and side room additions were built. What was originally the entrance was replaced with the G.A.R. stained glass window and the bell tower was added. During this period it was also used as the G.A.R. Hall. The Grand Army of the Republic was the Civil War version of the V.F.W. for the Union army. In 1868, General Order #11 of the G.A.R. called for May 30th to be designated as the day of memorial for Union veterans; originally called "Decoration Day", it later evolved into the U.S. national Memorial Day holiday. The G.A.R. was also active in pension legislation, establishing retirement homes for soldiers, and many other areas which concerned Union veterans. The influence of the G.A.R. led to the creation of the Old Soldiers' Homes of the late 19th century, which evolved into the current United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The back room, bathroom and kitchen addition was added sometime in the 1950's. In the 1970's, the building was then purchased by a group of local residents and it became the Old Delton Academy Antique Mall. In the spring of 2007, the building underwent a revamping and became what it is today; the oldest public building in southwest Wisconsin and home of the Brat House Grill. The building still retains it's original wood floor, wainscoting and window frames. It's remarkable what great shape the building is in after it's extensive and varied history.
