Had nice dinner with group of friends. Shrimp dinner was excellent, Were out of Maihi so had their Tenderloin schnitzel ..meat was excellent , veggie side OK. .. Very good service, friendly accommodating staff, Ceasar salad was excellent. Pricing bit high but reasonable. Pleasant stroll through attached grocery area.

Everything here was great, the food, service and atmosphere. I Really liked the gift shop in the middle of the restaurant, I shopped around while waiting for our food to arrive. The only reason I gave them a 4 star rating was because my soup was warm and not hot, it was good just seemed like it sat for a... More

Our 4th visit over the years, this time for early dinner. Great helpful servers, wonderful food, everything home made, including the excellent deserts. The pork schnitzel was tender and juicy and the pizza of the day was delicioso. Greek salads lacked much romaine due to large party prior, but spinach was added, and was terrific. Hands down the number one... More

I stopped in late in the evening. The bar area was full, so I sat in the restaurant. The service was great, they were training a new person and they both did a good job. The food was very good. I had the Jagerschnitzel. I also had the chicken pot pie soup which was excellent. I also ordered the mud... More

Unexpectedly nice restaurant placed in the back of a grocery store. Service was excellent and the food quite good.

The food is good, but it seems like they are trying to upscale too much. Have eaten there before and preferred the way rolls used to come ( a variety) instead of the one cheese topped roll now.

The food is ok but not great It tasted like the food was cooked somewhere else and just reheated, But the price does not show this.

We ordered the fresh fish (walleye) which is similar to our Canadian Pickerel. Usually, we can enjoy this fish without picking our way through those tiny bones but that wasn't the case this time. So, although the fish was tasty, it wasn't prepared as carefully as it should have been. Service was excellent.

We were at the Veteran's medical clinic and needed a break. Our GPS had us all over Tomah but finally made it. We went there for lunch and arrived early. Stopped in at Gordy's grocery store that is in the same building. Gordy's has a great selection of foods and a deli section to die for. We were so happy... More

We were staying overnight and the hotel clerk recommended Burnstad's as a local option. Layout is very unusual. Service was almost non-existent. Food was average at best. If staying in Tomah again we won't be going back.
