As it was of Swedish heritage I went for the herrings. There were plenty, but all the same, i.e. salted rollmops. I would have expected some variety of herrings.Service OK, but a bit quaint.

Went for breakfast and it was an interesting menu - but really it was just average food which was disappointing. Fun to go to and they have a nice gift shop with unique gifts.

Great food, warm and friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced good food. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had the vegetable panini and cucumber salad and my husband had the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our meals and we will...More

A great Sister Bay landmark. Awesome Sweedish and American food restaurant. Nice gift shop too. Courteous waitress staff, dressed in Sweedish clothing. A landmark in Sister Bay! Goats on the grass roof in spring and summer ... photo OPP for sure!!!

LIke my review title: this is a Door County institution. Judging by the wait times and lines out the door, everything is good with their business. Very picturesque restaurant, with the goats on the grass roof, lovely Swedish goods in the gift shop while you...More

We ended up having a late lunch here the day of the employee appreciation event. My fish and chips was meh. The fish was fine; the chips were lukewarm at best. Probably should have tried the Swedish style pancakes instead. Spouse had a chicken sandwich...More
