Since moving back to Wisconsin we have discovered the Friday night fish fry. Locals like catfish but I prefer cod. Spring Lake Inn prepares it to perfection. I also really like the coconut shrimp basket, the mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, and specialty burgers. Be aware that Friday nights are busy so to avoid a wait come early.

Great food on the outskirts of Prairie du Chien along with a motel if needed. (Did not stay at the motel) Restaurant gets very busy so go early or later.

We always try to eat at Spring Lake but if you get there too late it will be a wait. They are fast, friendly and the food is always good. Prime Rib is our favorite and the price is right too. Small town friendly!!

A small friendly stop going North from Prairie du Chien, Wi. Great food and friendly service. Menu items and special dinner meals are worth planing ahead for your favorite new place to stop and eat.

We just stopped in to eat on our way through. The waitress was extremely friendly and happy. Seemed to really love her job. Food was excellent. I had the wisconsin burger and all the cheeses had an amazing flavor. It was very busy with all ages and the kids around us seemed to like their foods as well. Prices are... More

Our Guest room host suggested we try Spring Lake Inn. Very good food. We chose the chicken sandwich and their reuben. Both served with fries. Okay service. Facility clean, rustic, couple rooms with tables and a deck to eat outside.

Friday fish was very good. We had a bit of a wait, but did find room at the bar. Really noisy place, we sat in the bar, but we probably should have waited to sit in the dining room. My husband had a burger and it was good. Nothing fancy, but good basic food

Have stopped here many times while riding the Great River Road for lunch, food is great and service is very friendly, decided to try their Prime Rib for dinner on Saturday night and was not disappointed the PR was very tasty and even though they were very busy the service was great.

Have eaten here several times over the the past 20+ years. Food is always good and the place is warm and friendly. If you are a food snob and are expecting the Ritz, eat somewhere else. Also, they don't take reservations. So if you think you are someone special and are used to getting everything you want and being first,... More

I love the fish at this restaurant. You have to go very early to get a seat. The place is small. It is always packed on Friday Night
