There are two dishes that I love: the shrimp and grits, and the blackened catfish. Both of these (among others) can be made GF, and both are very good. Food is always tasty, service was good, and I loved the option of adding andouille sausage...More

We have been to Maxie's a few times, and every time we ask ourselves why we went back. It's not that the food isn't good or that the service is bad. We just leave feeling like the experience was "meh." Tasty cornbread, average entrees, and...More

Loved it! Oyster happy hour with buck-a-shuck? Oh yeah. And a happy hour priced draft beer? Oh yeah. And no where else except down South can I get shrimp 'n grits like that. Outstanding server. Cool laid back vibe. Solid!

Server was fantastic and knew the menu and how things were prepared exceptionally well. Something that is lost today. Oysters were fresh and delicious. All entree items were awesome as well. Large portions too!

We went to Maxie's before a baseball game at Miller Park. I called to see if reservations were needed or what the wait was and was told come on in and we could get seated right away. Upon pulling up to the establishment it looked...More
