Custard is served all over Milwaukee but only a few places are worth my calorie splurge and Leon's is one of them. Kopps would be my first choice, Leon's or Oscar's or Gille's are all fine second choices. Leon's is the choice of political candidates, for whatever reason, so it gets the most press. Much less impressive are their 'burgers'... More

Always good, very consistent, however not too many flavors to choose from often just the regular flavors and nothing out of the ordinary. Butter pecan rocks! Absolutely the best in town!

This place has been in Milwaukee for a long time. History says a lot about a place. Visit to see why. It is such a treat to have their custard. I remember going there as a child and have taken my kids there. Love it!! If you are in the Milwaukee area, stop in and treat yourself!!

Step back in time to a time in which calories didn't matter. Leon's is situated in a tired and time-worn building, but the building is not the reason why you want to visit - it's the custard. Thick, rich, buttery smooth and flavorful. It's not ice cream - it's frozen custard, which means higher butterfat, and that is what gives... More

Describing Leon's as the classic or classic "drive ins" is an accurate statement. The custard is expensive but, if frozen custard is what you have a taste for, the price is within reason

The surroundings are uninspiring concrete buildings along a very busy road. But Leon's gives a glimpse of how life was in the 50's / 60's. The frozen custard is of good quality. But to drive all around again for it...? No, not necessary. If you visit, do it in the evening.

Leon's is the standard of what a frozen custard place can be. I've been to others around the country that are almost as good. But none are better. There is a chain of custard stores that are a poor imitation of this place. If you like frozen custard you owe it to yourself to travel here. This is the mecca... More

It is so creamy and rich has a definite butter taste. It has the real old fashion 50's style look. Parking can be a problem in the summer it is a very popular place.
