After a long day exploring Door county we decided to have a late dinner with recommendations from the place we were staying. When we walked in, we were the only people in the restaurant reason being it was 7:30 and they closed at 8:00 and it was still early in the season. The wait staff was very pleasant and helpful with... More

Since we had a late lunch we weren't hungry for a large meal. We checked with Trip Advisor and saw that Chef's had good reviews. It was cold and windy so hot soup sounded good. Lucky us!!! I had tomato bisque and my husband had navy bean with sausage, both delicious. Must say they could have been alittle warmer. We... More

We went for breakfast. Every menu item looked appealing. Very cozy place with a great view of the water. Excellent service, great menu selection. Breakfast comes with toast or a scone. We got the scones. They were still warm from the oven. Just delicious. This place is a winner!

We have dined here a couple of times while on vacation in Door County. The food was excellent. We especially like the appetizers, like the stuffed pepperdew. We had never had that one before! Everything was tastefully presented with very bright and fresh flavors. We look forward to our next visit!

Breakfast on New Year's Day was at Chef's Hat. The owner was doing a little bit of everything (including dishes) because someone had called in sick - but everyone was working together and we had a great experience . And the food was delicious, too - thanks everyone!

We had never tried this place but I'm glad we did. After a heavy snow we decided to stick close to Ephraim and luckily this place was open! The sandwiches were delicious and I would happily come back! Thank you!

We were in Door doing some genealogy and needed to get some dinner. Many places close for the winter, so it can be hard finding someone open for lunch. Luckily, The Chef's Hat was open. The waitress was very nice and patient with us as this was our first visit. We started with the bruschetta, which was different than any... More

Had dinner here in October. My husband had the beef brisket - which he loved. I had tilapia and it was delicious. 2nd time eating here and have yet to be disappointed! Nice quaint atmosphere, service was excellent.
