We stopped in at the suggestion of other Tripadvisor reviews. FYI: this is listed as "in Snowshoe", however it is at the base of the mountain. It is on the main road, and right before you turn to go up the mountain. This is a fairly small and rustic breakfast and lunch place. We went up to the counter and... More

We picked up our rentals here at Route 66. They are always helpful and friendly. Love the newly renovated shop and the expanded restaurant. They save a great breakfast and the pizzas at night are awesome.

Finally found somewhere that had ski logo pins. Luckily I asked the staff, because the pins were not out for display. Very nice selection of pins. We collect a pin from each location we have skied at and had not had any success finding them at any other shop in Snowshoe. Good selection of t-shirts.

Their breakfast was fresh and reasonably priced. We ate dinner here twice. Their burgers were very good, tasty and well cooked. Staff was friendly.

We had a great experience renting our family's ski gear from Route 66. I called in the reservation for the 4 of us about a week prior to our trip and when we arrived everything had been put aside and was ready for us. They made sure everything fit and was comfortable, changing out some items to accomplish that. It... More

okay, so it's just a country store with a grill. But what makes these excursions different are the views, atmosphere and exceeding expectations and that's what the Route 66 has going for it. The employees were SUPER! A good morning, did NOT get a grunt for a comeback, BUT a genuine smile and a resounding good morning back. from the cooks... More

We ate here everyday during our stay at Snowshoe. We also rented our ski equipment and bought some souvenirs. The staff was very friendly, the food was great and it was an overall great experience. I would recommend it to anyone making a visit to Snowshoe!

We got in late at night and they were still open so we stopped in to pick up rentals. The service was very friendly and prompt so we were still able to get to bed at a decent time. While they were getting the rentals ready, the family found some great bargains on gear. We ate breakfast here every morning... More

We love to stop here for any rental gear we might need for our stay on the mountain. They have quality gear and a good staff to properly fit you. We have picked up several jackets and other gear for the kids who wont stop growing. Good pizzas as well as a hearty breakfast in the morning too.

We ate here 3 times in 2 days and were not disappointed with the pizza, breakfast or sandwiches we ordered. I enjoyed the apple cobbler dessert with vanilla ice cream. The best part of this place is the price. Compared to the prices at the ski resort this place is a bargain! Expect to spend $10 for lunch and dinner... More
