This was my first time at the Block. I wasn’t sure how busy it would be on a Friday evening so got reservation online. Place wasn’t too crowded. Very nice atmosphere; classy without being pretentious. Server Amanda was very nice and helpful. We ordered the...More

This restaurant is invariably a fine choice for lunch or dinner. Their menu is remarkable in its variety and artistic presentation. They try new things and on occasion something might not be as expected, but for a Charleston WV place they and Noah's lead the...More

Terrific atmosphere and food. Loved everything about it. Our waitress Ashley was the best on the planet earth. Loved her. Definitely go. We were treated right and the experience was great.

A little disappointed with the over cooked salmon on more than one occasion, even after requesting the item be cooked "medium". But, overall the food is good. Ambiance is what makes this place; the windows and outdoor seating are great. Also should mention the extensive...More

Pies and Pints down the road had a long wait, so we ended up at Block. Better for couples than a family choice, Block did have some outstanding options on their menu. The potato leek soup was terrific, and came with two really great pieces...More

I would recommend business casual. The attire on the patio is a bit less formal due to the heat during the warmer months.
