Loved this place. Welcome reprieve from some of the other local bar food restaurants. Had a lovely white burgandy then the fried chicken! It was great. Wish we could have gone back to try other things. My husband had the Hoppin Jons...loved it

This is the place to eat in the capital of West Virginia. Eclectic atmosphere and phenomenal locally sourced food. I have had both shrimp and grits and trout and grits here - both are fantastic. The WV trout was perhaps the best fish I have...More

Service was a bit slow, but we got a seat right away and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the home cured, grass-fed corned beef hash stack.

This small boho-feel restaurant offers anything but ho-hum and bland. Everything I had was different than anything I've ever had. Sure they used potatoes and vegetables and meat but the way they prepared the items was surprising and delicious. I also liked the iced green...More

The beer cheese fondue is yummy. My veggie burger was homemade and piled high with goodies. Wish I would have had room for dessert.

We had a friend from Charleston bring a pie to share. I am a foodie BUT a serious dessert diva. I was in heaven with the first bite. The texture and full flavor of the blue berries was beyond yummy. If you visit Charleston- you...More

Charleston's authentic farm-to-table made-from-scratch modern comfort food restaurant. With a legion of chefs who caringly practice the art of food, BgK offers delicious brunch, dinner, and desserts for hungry vegetarians, meat connoisseurs, and everyone in-between. In the circa 1920 building with pressed tin ceilings and exposed architecture, Bluegrass also serves as a gallery for local artists. In the Tap room there's live original acoustic music most nights, with finely crafted cocktails, a curated wine list & a bounty of beers. Close to West Virginia's beautiful capitol grounds the family-owned and operated Bluegrass Kitchen has been featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal as well as Bon Appetit, Garden & Gun, Taste of the South magazines and many more.
