I always eat at the Bluegrass when in Charleston, great food and a meatloaf dish to die for....great parking and a great location on the East End, love taking friends there and showing them what southern hospitality and southern cooking is all about while listening...More

I like how the Bluegrass Kitchen will bring in local WV vegetables and menu items. You can find some organic food here. The lunch prices are less than the dinner prices, which run higher. The food is good and the service is good.

Didn't open till 3:30 so it was perfect for us for a late lunch while driving home to Michigan. The sauce on brisket barbecue was very good. Cosmos were so good that I couldn't resist having two. Also, our waitress (very good) said we shouldn't...More

We had a good meal. Nice cod dinner. But the star of the show was the blueberry cobbler pie. Absolutely awesome. Could have it for breakfast and dessert every day.

Great place for dinner. Nice size portions that can be split if you are not a "BIG" eater. We had the trout with grits and it was delicious. Restaurant caters to local musicians and if you like bluegrass and old fashion appalachian music this is...More

This restaurant is a gem with great, locally sourced food and friendly staff. Definitely the best brunch in town. They often host great live music. The cocktails are excellent and the blueberry buttermilk pie is not to be missed!

Met up with some old high school friends for Sunday brunch. I have never had goods before but today I tried shrimp and grits and I fell in love. And I must say we were drinking mimosas, that may have made me fall in love...More

Don't blink or you'll miss this gem of a place! I had the fried chicken and it was out of this world delicious! The whipped cauliflower was new for me and I loved it just as much as the chicken and the greens.

Charleston's authentic farm-to-table made-from-scratch modern comfort food restaurant. With a legion of chefs who caringly practice the art of food, BgK offers delicious brunch, dinner, and desserts for hungry vegetarians, meat connoisseurs, and everyone in-between. In the circa 1920 building with pressed tin ceilings and exposed architecture, Bluegrass also serves as a gallery for local artists. In the Tap room there's live original acoustic music most nights, with finely crafted cocktails, a curated wine list & a bounty of beers. Close to West Virginia's beautiful capitol grounds the family-owned and operated Bluegrass Kitchen has been featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal as well as Bon Appetit, Garden & Gun, Taste of the South magazines and many more.
