My boy friend and I had a limited amount of time for a quick get away and were looking for something special, romantic and new. Damn are we glad we found The Herbfarm. The entire place from dining room to wine cellar are eclectically opulent and charming. The staff was attentive helpful and very informative in explaining each dish and... More

The Herbfarm is one of a kind. A vast herb garden provides inspiration for its set nine course meal. The master chef and sommelier develop an exquisite tasting experience which delights all senses. Every three weeks a new menu is developed and presented using fresh, local, ingredients. But first, enjoy a tasting tour through the herb garden, where the owner... More

We come once and a while when we are in Seattle, and have never been disapointed. It is always an event, service is impeccable but relaxed. The food is always adventurous, beautifully prepared, flavorful and exciting. Had a guest with very complicated food allergies, and they were able to accomodate everything. as always the wines were very well paired.

We ate here for an early Valentine's Day celebration and were not disappointed. The food and the wine were outstanding but be prepared to be extremely full, even the morning after. The only negative was that we sat right next to the guitarist, who tough he played lovely music, was difficult to talk over and we also had a noisy... More

I had recently been to a set dinner getaway and was looking for something amazing closer to home. This was not it. The new menu was Red Heads. The local wine was average at best and the food was very out there and just not to a great standard. I wanted exquisite taste and got Sunchokes and sweetbreads. The Tuna... More

Carrie and Ron, the owners, have perfected the art of subtle, eclectic excellence. The themed menu, changed every 3 weeks, is locally sourced and foraged, well thought and executed. Arrive early for a guided tour of the herb garden where you are encouraged to taste fresh picked herbs and flowers. The nine course tasting menu, whichtakes4 hours to complete, is exquisitely planned and... More

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times in the last 10 years and am going to give it a rest for a while. It is fun the first couple of times and informative to take the garden tour offered prior to sitting but after seeing it twice or more, let's face it, it is a garden...The concept is great... More

Every month the menu changes based on what is in season; truffles! Wonderful experience in flights of wine paired with out of this world yum. Loved the education with each course having the explanations of what we were eating. Staff totally spoils you too.

Words will be inadequate to describe the amazing dinner we had at The Herbfarm! The presentation phenomenal, the food was a gastronomic delight with beautiful northwest varieties which was perfectly paired with each dish. The attention to detail was extensive. Be sure to go early to have a glimpse of the 26,000 bottles of wine in the cellar including a... More

I highly recommend The Herbfarm for private events. I recently had my wedding reception at The Herbfarm, and the experience was everything I hoped it would be plus more. The owners worked with me directly and I was given a level of customer service that exceeds anything I've experienced in the past. I am a detail oriented perfectionist myself, and... More

The Herbfarm is America's only 5-Diamond Restaurant north of Napa Valley and east of Chicago. With working farm and restaurant 20 minutes from Seattle, the restaurant offers 26 different 9 course dinner menus each year.Creed: The Herbfarm believes that no dish can be better than its ingredients, and that the best ingredients are usually local. Freshness is ephemeral, and geography expresses itself in the taste of the food--sometimes subtly and sometimes profoundly. The foods and wines of our region share a similar motherhood of soil and weather, making for a happier culinary marriage than those from dissimilar climates. The Herbfarm believes that chefs who cook with local ingredients--season by season, year after year--develop a more complete understanding of the foods than chefs who do not. This understanding can give rise to greater expressions of the food, its preparation, and enjoyment. The Herbfarm believes that supporting local farmers, foragers, cheesemakers, wineries, ranches, and fishermen helps preserve local foods.
