We were dying to try this place but couldn't find the correct business hours. It was ok. It seemed a bit overpriced. We don't care to go back unless we're starving.

The salmon and tuna were outstanding quality and many of the other menu items were creatively presented and just so tasty. I particularly liked the avocado tuna. Lovely atmosphere...not stuffy, friendly, and lively. Great restaurant if you like sushi or sashimi.

Great service, good value. Sushi is good (not excellent as can be found in Seattle). But a nice spot for Tacoma if you can't make the trek up and fight the crowds.

Conveniently located amongst the UW-T campus, the restaurant serves fresh top of the line sushi. Happy hour is a tremendous bargain and has a great variety. Appetizers and rolls are delicious. Staff is responsive and location is clean. Parking is close and usually available.

Here on business and wanted something close to the hotel. I can't say enough about this restaurant from the moment I walked in and was cheerfully and quickly greeted to the terrific job the servers did as a team to the amazing food (sushi, tempura, etc.!). Also seems like a place the locals like to go. I am also amazed... More

The best fish in Tacoma!!! The owner Jackie definitely knows what he is doing and runs a great restaurant. One of the few places to carry o-toro (super fatty tuna), ju-toro (less fatty tuna), and fatty salmon belly on the regular. I also highly recommend wasabi tobiko with quail egg if you're feeling adventurous. I LOVE the spicy mussel soup.... More

I arrived to this restaurant at 4:45 and was able to take advantage of their happy hour prices: 3 rolls for $25. Plus 1/2 off beer. I thought the sushi quality and quantity was excellent. Plus they had 7 Seas beer on draft. I also found the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating.

Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon mostly for a drink, knowing nothing about the place. Was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the wine pour (:-) and the most excellent appetizer/happy hour snacks we had. The calamari was amazing...I'm been craving it ever since. The brussel sprouts and gyozas were also excellent. Looking forward to returning to Tacoma... More

We had a great meal at The Koi. The sushi is prepared and presented very well. I thoroughly enjoy every roll on their menu.

What a great place. I am in town for the holidays. We went early on new years eve. Even under new management we had superb service, and the food was remarkable. What we like to do is order many of the appetizers served over a period of time. Not necessary cheaper than having a full meal, but gives everyone as... More
