My guy, myself and his sister ate here at Johnny's Dock Restaurant on 9/27/2016 for a late lunch around 4pm. My guy had Alaskan Cod fish chips that came with french fries. His sister and I shared a turkey and avocado wrap that was served with french fries. The Waitress had the cooks put each of our half of the... More

We were here for a birthday dinner. We could not have been more delighted. The food was very good fish and chips were excellent. The Captain's Plate was loaded and included a nice sized lobster tail. Our waiter was a joy, he helped with substitutions had suggestions that were much appreciated and made all of us feel special not just... More

These are real folks! The bar is a ton of fun. Great service. Good prices. The view is worth the drive. Great to study Tacoma from this point of view. And those funky, 80's chairs in the ladies room....makes me miss my Grandma and the days of a true ladies lounge. The whole place is a time capsule. Don't change... More

This 50 yr + restaurant is out of the way, quite and with a very nice atmosphere. The quality of the food has stood the test of time. My Oysters were great and my date cleaned her plate of salmon. Menu is quite varied with many special. The price is a little high but again delicious.

Located across the water from Downtown Tacoma in the industrial area is Johnny's Dock. Despite the commercial industries surrounding this place, the food and service are excellent with moderate pricing. Great view of the Marina and Glass museum just outside your window table. A nice outdoor patio adjoins the bar located adjacent to the main dining room. So whether its... More

Whenever I'm at Johnny's I always have to have a cup of their famous clam chowder, where they dribble vermouth over it. I seem to always order the fish and chips at lunchtime here, they have never failed to make them perfectly. Sitting at the window with a view across the water of Tacoma's skyline, and below me a wonderful... More

Met a friend here for dinner, she came from the south, me from the north. First, my dinner date was very late due to traffic congestion, our waiter just kept checking on me to see that I was ok (lovely). Once she arrived, we decided to split a Captains Platter and then have an appetizer as well.. the waiter was... More

Great food, great appetizers. I loved the chowder, calamari, and potato skins. They have great seafood dishes. You can even get a bucket of Coronas! Enjoy watching boaters from yachts to kayakers. It's a beautiful spot located across the waterway from Chihuly's Glass Museum. Also lovely views on the water at night.

It was a special night so I brought my mother to Johnny's. We were offered the $39 Copper River Salmon Special but we had something else in mind. We had come for the Crab or Shrimp Louie. After reading through the menus we changed our minds and decided to take advantage of the Twilight Dinner offerings. I went with the... More
