Home of Poulsbo Bread and the Viking Cup. A myriad of donuts and pastries, many super sized, e. g. donuts and gingerbread man shaped pastry. Busiest place in downtown Poulsbo. Iconic American style bakery. Pastries are heavier than French pastries. Opens early. A must visit...More

We spent part of 3 days in Poulsbo. Sluys was a mandatory stop each day. I am not sure what they are called, but they look like a small muffin covered with goo and pecans. WOW, what a treat.

The bakery has a good variety of offerings. I bought the Apple cinnamon loaf at $6. It’s pricey but I did finish the entire loaf cos it’s good. However, I didn’t taste the apple or spot any apple bits.

We got cookies and pastries to eat while walking around Paulsbo. Everything was delicious! There were so many choices it was difficult to decide what to buy. It was very crowded - it’s a popular spot.

Any place with as many treats which include cinnamon as this place is a destination bakery for me! The Viking cups are superlative. The cinnamon rolls are outstanding. I was a happy person. Luckily I live in NY City, or I would gain too much...More

One of the best family style bakeries I've seen. Excellent breads - try the black Norwegian bread. Of course, the sweets in the window are incredible.

I cannot ever recall French crullers at Sluys. Must be they have so many other yummy donuts, that if they did have them I wouldn't miss them!

I'm sure they would be able to ship to Hawaii, they may freeze it first though. You would need to ask. The owner is Dan Sluys.
