Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Our waiter helped our teen daughter practice her high school Spanish on him. Big portions. Strong drinks.

Reviews should always be in the context of the restaurant and time of day. Twice for dinner has shown El Sarape tops in the Mexican food group. El Serapes prompt service and an authentic menu, (insofar as what we north Americans expect) was a nice touch. The food was tasty, well and prepared with portions that left me neither stuffed... Weve been coming here for a long time; but seems the food is not been up to pare lately. They have done away with some items. such as you cant get a smaller order of say; Nachos....you have to get the big one and its just toooo much to eat.

I ordered the ultimate sarape nachos to share with my grand-son. The serving was more than enough but the extra I paid for the chicken was not worth the money. Instead of fresh, shredded chicken it was dry, old diced chicken. I love the atmosphere and service but will never pay extra for the chicken again.

They recently changed their menu. I had the taquitos that were delicious, but I found a huge white hair within, that I had to pick out of my mouth. It was disgusting. They brought me a new one, that arrived after my family was done eating. They did comp my meal. Not sure we will return.

Been here a few times the last couple of months. Food always good, service fast and friendly. Excellent range of margarita choices. Probably the highlight has been a range of daily specials not on the menu. Very nice each time I have selected it. Flavorful and something different. This place has become our go-to Mexican place when we want close,... More

Consistently good food and good for the budget. Get the "Fiesta Dinner" and some chips and that will feed two "normal" persons. All for $20 USD. If you are starving then get the big meal for yourself, and you will still get out of there for $30 USD to $40 USD

I like trying new places, but I get nervous when it is noon on a Friday, the parking lot is empty (better check what time it is), the restaurant is empty, most of the staff is sitting in a booth talking when you walk in and the other wait staff is running the vacuum. Plenty of parking in front, the... More

This restaurant isn't fancy and the service can be inconsistent, but I always stop there to order the Carnitas Special. it is a house specialty. There are two on the menu and you want to order the one that has the bone in pieces of Pork. Real carnitas is always slow cooked pork. It is crispy on the outside and... More

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and will continue to go back. My boyfriend and I went again on September 29 for a quick dinner after work. He had a combo dinner with 1 enchilada and 2 tacos (all beef) and I had the pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken breast). Most of the food was well... More
