Frank's overplays his dedication to US Veterans. I am a vet, but the food is the issue. I tried breakfast there a few times, years ago, but stopped going. Oak Harbor has very little to offer for breakfast, so I tried Frank's again and remembered why I haven't been back. Food not prepared well. Eggs undercooked. Pancakes cool, but not... More

I have reviewed Frank's Place before, and I had not been impressed. I decided to give it another chance, and I am glad that I did. It was MUCH cleaner, and the young man who was my server was very friendly and polite. The food was quite good. I may start making this a regular stop, as long as the... More

The "Wanda's Waffles" breakfast was great- some of the best Belgian Waffles I've ever had. The waffles tasted really good had enough texture to handle the butter and syrup and still have a little bit of chewiness and slight crust on top, so they did not get soggy from the syrup. One waffle is really filling. The eggs, bacon, and... More

Frank's Place isn't five star dining, nor does it have to be. It's a treasure that has to be experienced! The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. The food is VERY good and named for various military items. Items all over the restaurant pay homage to the four services. Occasionally, a group of locals can be found "shooting the breeze" at the... More

Place has lots of military memorabilia, but seems like it could use a good deep cleaning. Food is okay, IF the waitress decides you are good enough to take your order. God forbid if a group of their "regulars" come in, because you WILL be ignored. I have tried multiple times to dine here, but have only been successful twice.... More

Quite an array of breakfast choices, many of which Navy Veterans will recognize! Frank's is a hang-out for older veterans, who are treated very well. We only had breakfast (twice), so cannot speak of the lunch offerings.

decent food and super friendly staff. the food is very simple diner grub. suppose the biggest downside is the run down condition.

We like going to diners for breakfast and have had good experiences at many. Not Frank's Place. The main thing to point out is that the food is bad. Not just bad, really bad. I'm not sure how a restaurant can mess up breakfast, but our eggs (over easy and sunny side up) both came out almost raw (you know,... More

Right in Coachman Inn parking lot.. Veteran owned and operated. Family atmosphere and super friendly people. The inside is like a museum of information with pictures and stories. The prices are great and the food cant be beat.. A definate must when on island.

Burgers and Breakfast are their specialty. Old military ambience to the place. I ate here 40 years ago when it was called Skippers. Place hasn't changed much. Good place to rub elbows with the locals.
