I had been craving some yummy nachos, so we decided to stop here. I ordered the "Super Nacho".... nothing super about it. Just way too much cheese with a tiny bit of refried beans and few small pieces of tomato on it. They only had one waiter working and he was obviously not having a good day. We most likely... More

This was place was great, Arroz con Polo was good, the tortillas were fresh and warm. Fajita burrito was good also, very big and not just all rice and beans...everything had really good flavor. Could have used some drink refills, but food was great.

We were the only other table here for lunch in the middle of a wind/rain storm. Service was prompt, great homemade salsa, the Sopita.s were well done. Tacos were yummy.

I know Mexican, and let me tell you..stay away from here! I lived in Guadalajara for 10 years, also used to check the line for a chain of 36-mexican restaurants...this place is dangerous! Grease is old and NOT changed dailey! Also suspect they dont use different fryers for different products. The chips tasted of both chicken and shrimp, was old... More

We've never stopped here but this trip we did. This is a pretty good place for Mexican food. The place is right off the highway and was always busy which is usually a good sign. We had lunch - I had the chicken taco el carbon (think that was what it was called) and my wife had the chicken chimichangas... More

Consistently a winner. Friendly, prompt service. Always clean. Great salsa. Even the ice water tastes better than it does at surrounding establishments. There are a wide variety of Sonoran-style menu options always freshly cooked to order and served hot and quickly. While they are always willing to prepare half orders when your appetite is flagging, the normal portions will readily... More

Although located just outside of town (perhaps a two mile walk from the main boardwalk in Long Beach) you will be pleasantly rewarded by the minor effort. Cute design, kind operators who tolerate my attempts at speaking Spanish, extensive menu to meet everyone's desires (including seafood, etc). Real authentic flavors.

Great food, best Salsa we have ever ate. They make their own Salsa. We have ate at many, many Mex & Tex/Mex Restaurants & this one had best Salsa. We had Burrito's that where wonderful...highly recommend this place

El Compadre has some top-notch Tex-Mex, with a dash of tasty seafood. I had a great dinner here across the board and wholeheartedly recommend it.
