Shared salad and three main dishes for five ladies and it worked out well. With a cold pitcher of beer. We then had room for two yummy desserts. Also enjoyed the music!

Hands down the most authentic German food in all of Leavenworth. Friendly servers and live music every day.

Spouse said the soft pretzel was the best she's ever had. I had the schnitzel cordon bleu. It was tasty but a little overpriced. Apple strudel was very good.

Certainly in running for best restaurants in Leavenworth was very busy with what looked like an hours wait. Food was wonderful. But not a cheap ticket

There is a reason people during Oktoberfest will wait more than two hours to get in there. Very good food!

Had the Cordon Bleu schnitzel with spaezel and we ordered a side of red cab age. Everything was de.icilus. Gent.eman played the accordion, and all seemed to enjoy.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch that started with a sausage noodle soup followed by lean moist smoked pork and light sour kraut. Service was friendly and the restaurant has a fun Barvarian atmosphere. We finished the meal with an amazing warm apple strudel.

Authentic but a little bit outdated German foods. This restaurant is located in a basement and with accordion music. The atmosphere is vivid and noisy. Foods are very heavy and their portion is big. It is a tourist restaurant but not sophisticated or refined.More

Thank you for your visit, Yasuo. We do serve traditional Bavarian food and our goal is to make it like "Oma" would make. For a more refined and sophisticated experience, we recommend our sister restaurant, Mozart's Steakhouse, located two floors up. Once again, thank you,...More

Description
This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!
