Decided to try King Ludwig's for some Jägerschnitzel and Käsespätzle and really was not impressed. They were not very busy when we went and were seated right away. The place was dirty, not filthy, just dirty. Dead flies on the window sills and food on the floor was a real turn off. The atmosphere was a bit cheesy, but I... More

My husband ordered the expensive pork hock, and that was good. I ordered schnitzel which was just okay. The restaurant hasn't updated their menu or look for many years, which is fine in terms of keeping the traditional German cuisine. But the quality could be improved, especially on the sides. On a positive note, the service was fast and good.

The servers all dress in German clothes. Lots of German Decor. I liked my Reuben sandwich. My husband wasn't that thrilled with the schnitzel. Beer and wine available.

Didn't get a chance to eat here but the restaurant was clean and the waitresses were friendly. We just popped in for a beer and went on our way. I had the Bavarian White. Was fruity and yummy.

Great way to keep with the German Alps tradition in this town and a very similar dinner to what we had in the real German and Austrian alps! We both had the sausage - Sorry - I meant Wurst! You could choose from 4 varieties or mix them the platter can with great roast potatoes, 2 kinds of mustard and... More

My husband is German and he wanted authentic German Food. We found it. The chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce was excellent. The rotisserie chicken was so juicy and tender. They had a German band playing music. People were dancing and clapping. Great food and entertainment.

I had the Jaeger Schnitzel, it was great! Eat in the Bier Garten section, it has live music. Will come back for sure.

I confirmed that I am actually not a big fan of German cuisine, but since we were in Leavenworth, we had to go to a German restaurant. The staff made the experience worth the stop--they were so cordial and pleasant even though they had more than a full house while we were there. The apple strudel is a must order... More

One of the things we try to do each summer is visit Leavenworth Washington. It's a kitchy, fake Bavarian village nestled in the Cascade foothills. The setting does look postively alpine. Tourists swarm constantly. One of the reasons we like visiting is having dinner at King Ludwig's Restaurant. For a long time it had the best Sauerbraten in town. The... More
