What can I say? The title gives it away. People drive from all over the region just for Cap-n-Yoby's HALIBUT fish and chips with their secret tarter sauce. The tarter sauce is so good-and popular that the Cap'n now sells it. My wife and 5 sister inlaws swear it's the best!! Oh yes, they also have burgers, fries, shakes, soft... More

So you think with a name like Cap'n Yoby's, all they do is fish right? Wrong! While their breaded and deep fried halibut is wonderful, we go there for their scrumptious burgers! It's hard to go wrong with whatever you order here, and their drive through window makes it very convenient.

OK I've been eating Yoby's fish since the 70's, and this makes me a journeyman judge of great batter dipped halibut fish n chips. Folks that have moved away can't wait to get back in town just to have what they have longed for!! Expect to fork over $$ but as a special treat so worth it. Beautiful white halibut... More

Their halibut fish and chips are so good and I love their tartar sauce. The decor is not too swift and the place is a little dirty, but the food is great. My wife really enjoyed her hamburger as well.

Adequate service, reasonably tasty fish, hot fries (chips). The Cap'n has been here for years, and has recently switched from generic whitefish to halibut (supposedly). I haven't noted a significant difference.

A favorite of the family, the fish is very good, however the prices are what you would see in a nicer restaurant. The service and cleanliness is that of a fast food place. Tables are not cleaned between customers. Our fish was noticeably over cooked and some pieces even burnt, being the family paid I did not complain. I was... More

We all lived the halibut but thought there was way too much breading. The tarter sauce is freshly made and amazing.Their fries were perfect.

I went to Cap'n Yoby's for lunch.I ordered a 2 piece and a drink; the cashier asked if I wanted the 2 piece special, which was the same just a little less expensive. So right off the bat I would recommend this place as the cashier could have just stayed quiet and made Cap'n Yoby's a little more. Very cool,... More

Our families favorite place for fish and chips. I like the slaw, alot. When they have onion rings they are great. They make yummy milkshakes. They're always so nice.

Don't even get me started! This is my favourite fast food fish shack in the world! I would want it for my last meal. The batter is crispy and has a sweetness to it. The fish is moist and fresh and the fries are thick cut crinkle. They also often slip in an extra piece. This is my go to... More
