We had stayed the night at Cedars Inn, so walked to Charlie's for breakfast. There was nothing bad about it, but nothing special either. We had standard breakfast fare. I had egg, bacon and toast. The bacon was good sized and hearty, but tough. my husband had similar with "hash browns." What they call hash browns is not what we... More

Family friendly place to share breakfast with friends. Food is good prices are responsible. Good place to fill up your belly before heading up the hill.

We ate a great lunch here on the way home from Chinook Pass area. Decor is very interesting, much 50's memorabilia - Coca Cola posters, glasses, signs, etc. Excellent burgers, milk shakes. A very fine, old timey, family run cafe. Not the place for a beer.

We stopped here for lunch before heading to Mount Rainier. We shared a sandwich/salad and they split it for us for an additional $2. It was just the right portion as we were leaving room so we could each have a piece of blackberry pie. It was warm and yummy. Our service was just o.k., but I did notice one... More

Charlie's is the poster child for the great American cafe. The decor is Americana through and through. The food is great and the portions are huge. Waiters are friendly and attentive. The decor is wooden cabin, red white and blue and they have lots of Coca-Cola things - even an old pop bottle dispenser in the back. Behind the counter... More

For anyone from outside the US or jus city slickers who want to experience the best of small town America you have to take the time to stop here. This place makes you smile inside. Whether you are on the way to Mt Rainier or looking to go skiing, this place is enchanting.

Very glad we stopped here for a late breakfast on our way back from Naches Peak Loop. We had a 20 minute wait, but it seemed to go by quickly and our food arrived FAST! I had a yummy plate-sized pancake but my bacon was pretty dried out (it was about noon, so it had probably been sitting for a... More

Nice atmosphere almost like a cabin, great service and food. Easy parking and a great setup for your trek to the Mountain or Crystal.

We went here for brunch on a Sunday and was surprised we didn't have to wait very long. Super friendly and quick staff. The food was delicious! Very large and generous protions. I had the Taco omelette, which was by far the best I have ever had! For me and my family of 4 with tip under $50, plus we... More

Clean, friendly, fast. We had eggs with the best hash browns - amazing biscuits and fantastic gravy. Good coffee! Highly recommend - excellent stop!
