I recently read an article that listed the best American diner in each of the 50 states. The Horseshoe represented Washington. I had never tried it and was intrigued. I was in Bellingham last weekend and checked it out for breakfast. The Horseshoe has been in continuous business since 1886. The inside looked like it. It's pretty long in the... More

This is my second time reviewing this place, because we came by again for breakfast on a recent trip. The food still was consistent and well priced. Unfortunately, however, the service was just not up to par. Even though there were very few patrons in the place, our server seemed highly distracted by talking to people. Our order was slightly... Be prepared to always see college students in there too. But if you can easily get over that, it is totally worth it. The food is always good. Especially breakfast. And let's face it-- a good hangover cure. It is smack in the heart of a college town after all.

Had the savory chicken & waffles YUMMY. It was the best of 2 dishes I couldn't decide on. Biscuits & gravy or chicken fried chicken. The waitress suggested the chicken & waffles would give me both. Light waffles with bacon bits with a crispy fried chicken breast & yummy gravy. GREAT PRICES. I grew up in Whatcom county. I've had... More

this place is often overlooked but it is retro bellingham and the food is always good. Try the breakfast sometime. Also had great service. It's our favorite place in town. Cheap and cheerful.

We ate here twice, as the food was good and so was the price. O.K. the outside doesn't look much, but once inside and seated, it's O.K. The restaurant is clean and so are the booths. The servers are nice and friendly, ready to help you. We didn't wait long for our food, and the service was good. Would recommend... More

After we heard about the s'more skillet from our college daughter, we had to try it before we left town. While it wasn't quite like the campfire, it was entertaining. Once you figure out how to scoop it out of the basket, it went down the hatch just fine. One basket was more than enough sugar for four people. I'm... More

I come here all the time. I think the new menu is amazing!! The fries are better and the sandwiches are stupid-good. They have a full bar and are open late.

Downtown location makes it an easy find, but it is a homey place. The kind where friends come to hang out or your grandparents will sit side-by-side in the booth. Food was yummy typical diner food and the service was fast but hands off.

We stopped here after getting into Bellingham and walking around to see what our lunch options were. We both had really good meals, and it's a pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress was nice but seemed a little absent minded. We weren't in a hurry and it was a nice day, so it wasn't a big deal. I had the pesto turkey... More
