Upscale rather expensive restaurant but worth every penny. The dishes were interesting and exquisitely prepared. The wine well matched to the food. The staff were very knowledgeable of the evening's offerings. Most definitely worth the 40 minute ferry trip from the mainland. Also consider reservations...More

I don't quite understand the hype, based on my experience. I do like that they locally source. The halibut was fresh and local that day and was sublime. Other than that, it's below average, in my opinion. Service couldn't have been much worse; it was...More

In this case a 'very good' rating is an average. Service was excellent. Servers were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Food was very good particularly the half chicken and gnocchi. But one caution -- the small plates are really small. Someone in our party ordered the...More

Given the recent reviews we were excited to dine at Hitchcock, our culinary excitement soon dissipated with very slow and intermittent service. We found the cuisine to be of fresh ingredients but not well integrated into an entree, e.g. the over done chicken came completely...More

This was my first time at Hitchcock, and the food was absolutely superb. The descriptions were tantalizing; the entrees were delicious. My only caveat was that the portions seemed a bit smaller than I feel they should be. I brought out of town guests with...More

The landscape of the island is very good, the restaurant is famous for using vegetables/fishes from local farm. We ordered the chef menu and spent almost 3 hours to finish all delicious food. Good places for friend gathering here.

We did a walk on for the ferry from Seattle and decided to eat in town. This was a happy accident in finding a wonderful restaurant that would not be out of place in downtown Seattle or any other major city. Good ambiance with a...More

I expected creativity from Chef Brendan McGill, and I got it. The Cheese Assortment with Valdeon (with apricot mostarda), Pluvius (with Widflower honey and Marcona almonds), Tres Leches (with raspberry preserve) and Drunken Goat (with pickled Yakima Strawberry) was delightful. It was the hot entrees...More

The Hitchcock Delicatessen & Charcuterie is open for lunch and has mostly sandwiches and a few salads. The items cost around $10 ($10 -$13) each. They are pretty big...our party split sandwiches and still had leftovers... More
