I have a bit of a mixed review here because the service, ambiance was excellent and it certainly was a great dining experience. However, the meal was for me less than stellar. I started with the Ginger Barbecued Ribs and they were tender, fall off...More

We spent several days in Williamsburg and was pleasantly surprised to find that the Fat Canary had delicious offerings. Try the grouper and the crab cake you won't be disappointed.

We come to Williamsburg about 4 times each year. Fat Canary is always on our must eat list. I was slightly concerned because our usual server had just left the restaurant. But luckily William was assigned to be our server. He was so friendly and...More

Our first dining experience—Fat Canary will be on our “must do” list whenever we visit Williamsburg. The service was engaging but low key; the tables are well spaced. We chatted with the couple next to us but we were not elbow to elbow. Knowing that...More

The Fat Canary knows how to do gourmet - limited menu, fine ingredients, fine presentation. The food was absolutely delicious and service wonderful.

Found them on TripAdvisor and decided to try it. Well worth the visit. Overall the food was good and so was the service. Everyone was great. We started with tuna appetizer-wanted it well done since allergic to raw fish. Chef did a great job and...More

Could not help but notice that the reviews for Fat Canary have always been outstanding, just want to also bang the drum a bit. On a recent quick get-a-way to the historic district we walked by Fat and already knowing it's reputation thought no way...More

We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were great! They were knowledgeable about the menu and vegan options for my husband and I.They even double checked about frying an item in a multi-use fryer. They do a "chef special" based on ingredients of the...More

This was my final meal in a five night visit to the area and I️ apparently saved the best for last. I️ like to ask wait staff for recommendations, and so when choosing between appetizers, my server suggested the lobster fettuccine with sage and peas....More

Service and what is served is always top notch, but don't come too hungry, for you might break your bank. Wonderful offerings, but it's good for the dieting type welcoming help controlling portions.

Fat Canary is an exceptional restaurant - and will offer you a variety of options. Anything you select will meet the highest standards. It is not a steakhouse - I’m in Bangalore and jet lagged. My last response was confusing. More

This high-energy bistro took over as Williamsburg's best restaurant as soon as it opened in 2003. The sophisticated but relaxed dining room has an open kitchen, which uses fresh, local ingredients for its creative American fare. The dining bar and seasonal outdoor patio seating are on a first come basis. Reservations for the dining room are recommended and may be made up to 2 months in advance. Open daily for dinner, a hostess is available during the day to take reservations.
