We ate lunch here and it was average. We asked to be seated not by an active doorway and was assured it was not used - but it was. The waiter was fine but not particularly helpful when asking for selection help. Most of us...More

Some friends visited us while we were staying in one of the inns on the Colonial Williamsburg grounds, so we went to the King's Arms for dinner. It was a thoroughly entertaining experience. We dined as the Founding Fathers would have. No electric lights: just...More

It is always a special occasion to eat there, with only candlelight to eat by. I ordered the peanut soup, very good but probably too rich. Ordered the fresh catch, which was rainbow trout, and asked for mashed potatoes instead of rice. The fish was...More

Staff/servers are dressed in Colonial servants' clothes, very atmospheric. Candles at the tables. A strolling fiddler provided Colonial music. I had the prix fixe dinner: peanut soup (DEFINITELY order this!!!!); chicken, veggies, and mashed potatoes (decent); and pecan pie (pretty good). Worth one dinner, for...More

Prime rib is very good. Good portions. Marcin is an exceptional waiter —ask for him when reserving your table.

We decided to eat here on the second night of our trip to Williamsburg. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive to our orders and the drinks were fabulous. It was really dark in the dining area for dinner time so it was hard to see...More

Great dining in such a historic atmosphere. We laughed at the huge "bibs", enjoyed the relishes and found great meal choices. Service was excellent and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.

If you're going to Colonial Williamsburg, plan to eat at a tavern! Yes, the food is a little more costly, as I am sure they use the funds to help pay for this fabulous living museum town, but the food is wonderful! We tried the...More

Yes it is accessible but the ramp is around the back. Most of the places that are accessible have the ramps in the rear of the buildings.

Originally opened by Jane Vobe in 1772, this authentic reproduction public house serves up a transporting experience for the senses in Colonial Williamsburg. Everything is true to the time period at King’s Arms Tavern, from the fashion sported by servers to the pewter candlesticks—all adding to an air of colonial elegance. Inspired by 18th-century recipes, but with updates to suit 21st-century tastes, tuck in to a chophouse menu featuring prime rib, pork chops, and more.
