Stains on the ceiling tiles, missing the pulls on the drawer of the dresser, toilet leaking onto bathroom floor, mold issues in the shower, facilities in a state of disrepair, rooms were decent however staff service to clean the room resulting in one bed made in one bed left and made with bathroom floor gritty and dirty. The continental breakfast... More

This is like a red roof Inn hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to am enemy. I normally stay at Hampton Inn or holiday Inn but they were all booked. I would have done better by spending 10.00 more to stay at the double tree. What a waste of money. This room should be 70.00 and no more based... More

We were attending a wedding which was being held at the older building. We stayed in the newer hotel. We were advised when checking in that we got a special rate for the wedding. We were all charged 100.00 a night then we found out people who used a travel site were only paying 77.00 a night. Next upon checking... More

For $8.95 there's many choices. Fresh fruit and cold cereal' scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, French toast with syrup, biscuits, sausage gravy, grits and oatmeal with brown sugar along with endless beverage makes for a good start for fun days.

not on the boardwalk. Very north end of town. Service is excellent. Food is marginal. rooms are marginal. limited beach front rooms but all have beach views. Good beach area with public lifeguards. Decent pool.

We have stayed at the Cavalier for the past two years for the fourth of July. We only need one night due to the proximity we live to VA Beach but don’t like to make the drive so late at night and enjoy making a small family trip to the beach out of the holiday. The Cavalier is one of... More

The modern Cavalier is just a modern Cavalier but the old building is something that you should at least stop by and check out. There is the spirit of old Virginia Beach there. There is still the sens of class and charm in the whole establishment. This is my kind of hotel and I would love to stay there once... More

The staff downstairs was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. We purchased a Living Social Coupon and scheduled our trip for June 19-21. On the morning of June 16, we received word that my wife's Mother had a stroke. I called that morning and cancelled our reservations. We later rescheduled for the 27th & 28th of June. When... More

Stayed at the hotel by the beach for a conference. Friends stayed at the hotel on the hill. When I checked in the room looked clean but there was a pot of coffee from the previous renters. Then I went to put Wine and Perrier in the frig and it was so full of frost I couldn't use. I called... More
