My husband and I ate here on New Year’s Eve after my mom highly recommended it, and we were so glad that we came. Everything was delicious. The biscuits were yummy, but those cheese grits were extra tasty...also the sausage, perfectly cooked fried eggs and pancake.
We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table, but the outdoor area was comfortable and had a bar for coffee and other drinks, as well as games, to keep us occupied while we waited. I also checked out the cute gift shop, and after breakfast my husband and I returned to buy a couple things there. During our meal, our server was friendly and efficient, and the host came out to greet guests and thank them for their business - very kind gesture.
We’re from out of town but will be back on another trip to the area. Until then, thank you for the delightful service and meal! Happy 2020!

Wyandotte’s a 2 1/2 hour wait doesn’t keep you away, you know it’s a great restaurant. Enjoy waiting with a drink, bin fire and a game. Once you get inside, the food is delicious and the servers are happy to welcome you. Enjoy!

Expect a wait, but it’s worth it. Spend the time sipping a specialty drink from the outside bar and wandering the grounds of this converted 1919 farmhouse. The experience starts as soon as your seated. Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff will explain the menu, and remind you of the fresh ingredients being used. I had a Lt. Dan omelette. What seemed like a half a pound of fresh crab meat was cooked and folded into perfectly cooked egg, then topped with fresh shrimp and holandaise sauce.
It was perfect.

Very disappointed in this charming little place. It’s name makes a promise of good biscuits Not. Heavy, doughybuscuit dough cooked in a cake pan and the cut into squares. Very poor. Eggs fried on a hot gril, crusty and over cooked. Coffee was served cold by an uncaring waitress who did not return to our table for a long time. We told her coffee was cold. She just said “I’ll get more”. We did not get any honey for out lump biscuits, we finally got some hand filled little containers of strawberry water, certainly far from strawberry preserves. Prices are ver.y high, take your credit card.

We went here while on vacation. After reading other reviews, I was disappointed with the experience. There is 18% gratuity added to everything including an orange juice I bought to drink while waiting for our table. They have valet parking even though the parking lot is right there and it’s not in a crowded area. It’s a very small establishment and we had to wait about 25 minutes and then were seated at the bar. We were told that was a short wait time. If it was longer we would have left. The food was good and a good sized portion but we won’t go back. There are too many other places that are as good or better for less money and a shorter wait time.

The restaurant is strictly first come, first served so be prepared to wait a while to eat (it will be worth it). They have a large outdoor area with plenty of shade to relax until your table is ready. There is an outdoor bar in the waiting area with coffee, tea, plus cocktails and mocktails. They also have a small gift shop with merchandise from the restaurant plus some bee related items from local artisans.
Once you're seated you will be able to enjoy what you waited so long for. The signature item is probably the biscuit served with honey butter and strawberry jam. The biscuit is nicely baked with a slightly crunchy crust on top and then soft throughout. They are big so you might want to split it with another person, especially since the portions on the meals are also fairly large.

We arrived at 10am and had a 1 hr. wait for outdoor seating (would have been 90 min. for indoor seating. There was a comfortable setting for the wait...chairs arranged to allow for visiting and a drink hut available to purchase coffee and alcohol during the wait. The whole experience was delightful. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the steak and eggs and cowboy benedict breakfasts. Honestly, the food was amazing. I'm afraid my description wouldn't do it justice. My advice - go as early as you can, enjoy the wait time and the delicious breakfast. Just go!

I read about their cinnamon rolls. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but were quite good. I liked that I could place an online order for a tray of them to be picked up at a later date. The place gets quite packed. If you decide to eat there, be prepared to wait.

This unique restaurant in an old house does all things very well. Be aware that there is usually a significant wait for breakfast/brunch, especially on the weekend. The biscuits are amazing as well as the jelly. Be prepared to wait, outside when weather permits, enjoy a drink, and maybe play some board games.

We ate here for the first time this week and it was awesome. The experience was first class and the food was excellent. You will not be disappointed. By the way, the pancakes are outstanding and you will not believe how much crab meat you get on the Bay Crab Benedict! Nice valet parking and expect to wait for a table but it is worth it.

This place is the hidden gem of Pungo Va and now we know what all the talk is about! From start to finish we were delighted by the refreshingly warm staff, the delicious food, and the valet staff parking and retrieving our vehicle with care. Even the chef Mike made us feel like he prepared our meal especially for us checking to see how we liked the food. Let me tell you, the food and drinks are excellent! We had plenty of opportunities to appreciate the theme of the restaurant with a cutr shop of paraphernalia and jewelry for sale. The outside bar was a great place to meet with friends and the fire pits kept those waiting nice and warm. We love the Bee and the Biscuit! Everything was well done... service atmosphere and food is a 10!

We were on vacation and decided to go out for breakfast. We found this place via trip advisor which was rated a 4.7 star. This was a Thursday morning. The wait was about 30 minutes which was understandable. We sat down and our service was great in the beginning. We ordered our coffee and certainly came out delicious, but the server didn't allow us to place our food order along with our coffee order which was unusual. The server returned about 12-15 minutes later and took our food order. The food arrived about 35-40 minutes later. There were two couples that sat down after our group. They placed their food order after us and got their food before us which is not acceptable. Our server did not refill our water neither. Refilling water is basic skills as a server, and we did not get that. The server never returned to check up on our table. We got our check and realized that there was a 18% gratuity charge. As far as I am concerned, gratuity is earned not given. Charging customers 18% gratuity automatically for poor service is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place for tourist. Also, I ordered steak and scrambled eggs. Steak was not seasoned well and looks like I was shorted one egg.

I’m visiting a friend in Virginia Beach and she brought me to the Bee and Breakfast for breakfast today. The restaurant is in an old, charming house and we ate in a porch which is winterized and wam, despite the 40 degree weather. Our server was the perfect combination of friendly and knowledgeable and quickly brought our coffee. My friend ordered the Cowboy Benedict and I ordered the vegetarian Avocado Benedict. The Benedict’s are served, as you might assume from the name of the restaurant, on homemade biscuits. Mine had perfectly poached eggs atop avocado, spinach , tomato and asparagus and.came with some fresh fruit. The Hollandaise was lemony and delicious. We brought half of our meals home as they are generous and rich. There is a cute little gift shop in an outbuilding with bee-oriented gifts. Highly recommend!

The wait was a bit long, 75 minutes, but that gave us a chance to sit around the firepit on a chilly morning and meet some new people. The Mimosa, and Manmosa helped to keep us warm. The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We had the Lt Dan, and the Cowboy Benni, and a cinnamon roll to go. It's not something I would do every weekend, but if your in the Pungo area with time to spare, it is worth the trip.

We drove out to Bee and Biscuit from Norfolk by way of Chicago. We were expecting a low key country diner atmosphere... and were surprised by how busy it was. They even had valet parking. The level of activity was high, t and we had to wait for a table. The tables and seats under the trees were full so during the wait we walked over to the nearby surfboard shop -- a colorful place with boards, shirts and a good vibe.
When our number buzzed we were seated at the bar inside. It was a little noisy, but once we started eating it was all worth it.. The pancakes were superb. The eggs just right. And the servers were efficient and friendly. We would go back.
As a bonus afterwards we drove to the Military Aviation Museum. And from there to the shore for a dip in the ocean and waves.
A great day in Pungo and Virginia Beach.
