The hubby and I flew into Tangier Island with our friends to have lunch; we stopped in at Lorraine's; the food, the service, the people, everything was just fantastic! Oh, and the homemade macaroni salad, delish! I am kicking myself in the derrière for not grabbing some to go! With that said, we will definitely be back for more!! Portions... More

Atmosphere very casual, waitress seems over worked but pleasant. Food was very good but a bit pricey for this type of place.

Whoa, stopped by the island on a sleepy Sunday. Wow, is all we can keep saying. My daughter wanted ice cream so we ventured in the only place open. They said they had ice cream to go. Then my husband decided he was hungry. I wasn't at all! He ordered crab soup and crab cakes. My daughter and I decided... More

We dined at Lorraine's for supper on Friday and lunch on Saturday. We had crab cakes and crab soup. Very tasty and filling! We also got dessert both days apple crisp and pumpkin bread pudding. OMG!!! Delicious and kinda reminded me of Grandma's cooking. Great experience and got to meet Lorraine! Nice family run restaurant. The bathrooms were very clean... More

Best crab cakes and cream of crab soup - chock full of fresh crab meat. We took the boat over and stopped for lunch. Enjoyed the food very much.

I have eaten here twice this summer. While it can get harried when the ferry comes in, if you take a stroll around the island and come in about 45 minutes or an hour later, things will have cleared out. The dining room is not fancy but it serves some really good food. My visits were a month apart and... More

We spent a Sunday morning (4 hours) on Tangier Island. Stopped into Lorraine's for lunch. Enjoyed the Fish Sandwich meal. Fish was fried perfectly. We had a side of Fried pickles. The fried pickle was a pickle spear and a little to moist to enjoy. Perhaps if it would have been a pickle slice it may have been easier to... More

Any place with air conditioning would have been welcomed. But great hospitality and fabulous crab cakes were over the top. Also got to have a great side in corn pudding. Most seafood items were fried and we don't usually order those. We made an exception and the crab cakes were terrific. My wife had hard to find haddock and once... More

Hurried to the restaurant from ferry. Waited over 20 minutes before order taken and then over an HOUR for food to arrive overcooked. We scarfed it down and then had too little time to do more than just walk in the streets. Very expensive for ordinary and overcooked food. Don't waste a trip by ferry to spend all your time... More
